Absolutely beautiful botanical gardens with a wide variety of habitats. The glasshouses are all closed for a few more years yet (Head for the Glasgow Botanical Gardens if that's your thing, anyway. Stunning). It's easy to get disoriented in the RBG and I think that might even be the intention. I loved suddenly finding myself in a completely different area from where I was expecting. If trees are your thing, I found the Edinburgh collection a little uninspiring and would recommend a trip to the Borders to see RBG's Dawyck Gardens or to Benmore near Dunoon.
