Cafe at Glenogle — Restaurant in City of Edinburgh

Wow, what a find! I was really desperate for a nice coffee and atmosphere this morning but had to take my kid for a swim and could not be late. So I almost gave up on the idea of a nice artisan coffee that I could get at places in Cannonmills or Stockbridge had I had time before or after swim. But to my surprise I and my little one got what I wanted including a nice pastry upstairs with a nice view of the pool, like some kind of cafe on Riviera coast (the heat from hot water downstairs sauna is really nice on those chilly haar days!). The place is relatively tiny with just few tables nested on upstairs gallery but I would highly recommend for a short coffee meet up to boost yersels after a swim/sauna or...

I have been swimming at this beautiful Victorian swimming pool for a while now and didn't think that the place could get any better.

The addition of such a pleasant cafe with excellent barista drinks and a wide variety of delicious baked goods and fruit, however, has proved me wrong.

The pool provides a lovely natural warmth for nipping in on a cold day but there are also cooling fans to sit next to for those of us who have been working up a sweat.

They've really thought of everything - can't recommend...
