D&D Picioca Coventry Shawarma Romaneasca — Attraction in Coventry

I am baffled by the other reviews ( ?friends of the owners).

This is a small kebab place in a fairly dodgy area of Coventry, where men with dark glasses hang out. A small unimpressive kebab shop not particularly hygienic looking I tried some food (4 sausage meat sticks combo) which was Ok but nothing worth talking about. Grilled from frozen in front of me. Did not inspire confidently tbh.

They have some nice cakes, which are the only good things I enjoyed here.

Service is weird. The cakes are in a fridge on the side of this small shop and they basically hand you a take away box (which by the way does not fit the products you are buying- you can't close it as the cakes are taller than the box) and you are meant to go to the fridge and pick your cake yourself. The cakes are in open trays and are soft and some soaked in syrup so getting them out is a job plus the thought of everyone else having had they hands and same tongues touches throughout the day is a bit gross. Noone knows what time the cakes will become available - we were told the baker brings them along 'when they can'.

This place has a lot to improve to be worth...

Sunt o clienta fidela din Leicester, care obisnuia sa comande mâncare chiar și de 2 ori pe zi. Am încercat sa las o recenzie la site-ul din Leicester dar nu s-a putut. Ma gândesc totuși ca patronul o sa vadă acest comentariu ca de altfel pe toate cele negative, și o sa ia atitudine . Ieri am sunat la ei sa comand în mod special ciorba ( la 12: 30) , a raspund o doamna care nu s-a prezentat oricum, ( este fata cea înaltă ) , am salutat politicos și am întrebat daca au ciorba mi-a răspuns ca nu au, am întrebat când vine ciorba și a spus ca nu știe , am întrebat ce ciorba vor primi și a spus ca nu știe. Am sesizat tonul nervos din vocea ei și am întrebat- o dacă a deranjat - o faptul ca am suant ( mi-am cerut scuze) , ea mi-a răspuns ca pun prea multe întrebări și ca nu vrea sa se certe cu mine după care a închis pur și simplu. Sincer atitudinea, tonul și faptul ca pur și simplu a închis fără orice fel de bun simt, pe mine m-au șocat! Nu ai cum sa vorbești asa cu un client !!! Am sunat la numărul de la Coventry sa spun ce s-a întâmplat, am vorbit cu un angajat , managerul se pare ca nu era acolo, dar nici mai târziu nu a suant sa întrebe ce s-a întâmplat. Respectul fata de client lipsește cu desăvârșire. După aproape 2 ani de când comand de la ei, și când tipul pe care îl las nu este mai jos de 2 lire , mi se pare aberant sa te porți asa! Am mai avut probleme cu mâncarea de câteva ori dar nu am lăsat nicio recenzie negativa pana acum. Înțeleg ca suntem oameni și cu toții greșim, dar când nesimțirea frizează orice limita , ma vad nevoita sa renunț la a mai comanda de la ei. Succes la...

Absolutely Brilliant food! Huge portions , very small prices. The staff team is very friendly, smiling, smart, fast and adaptable to any wishes of their customers. They are specialized in Romanian traditional food which is very tasteful, fresh and excellent cooked. A good place for a business meeting or a family dinner, but it offers intimacy for a romantic couple, as well. Almost every time when I was traveling in Coventry I used to have the lunch at their place....
