I recently ordered a meal from Chennai Dosa in Coventry, and I regret to say that my experience was nothing short of disappointing. The anticipation for a delicious South Indian meal quickly turned into frustration and dissatisfaction.

First and foremost, the online ordering process was cumbersome and confusing. I had to navigate through numerous screens just to place a simple order, which took significantly longer than expected. Once I finally completed the order, I was assured of a delivery window that comfortably fit my schedule.

Unfortunately, the timely delivery was not upheld. My order arrived an hour late, and when it finally arrived, it was lukewarm at best. I had hoped that the food would be worth the wait, but alas, it fell short of expectations. The dosa was rubbery and lacked the crispy texture that one would normally anticipate from a quality restaurant. The accompanying chutneys were bland and uninspiring, and the sambar tasted watered down.

On top of the food quality, customer service was disappointing as well. When I attempted to reach out to the restaurant about the delay and food quality, I was met with dismissive responses. There was a distinct lack of concern for customer satisfaction, which was incredibly frustrating.

To sum it up, Chennai Dosa in Coventry has a lot of room for improvement. Between poor online ordering efficiency, late delivery, subpar food quality, and lack of customer service, my experience was far from what I had hoped for. Absolutely atrocious service and food quality. Not even worth a single star. We were on the way from Manchester to Somerset, 30 minutes before reaching Coventry we ordered for around £65 through an online portal. There it was shown expected collection time was around 20 min. But when we went in to collect the food which was after 30 min the reception lady told me you were not supposed to come without calling them and confirming the order collection even though I got a confirmatory mail. She talked very rude and aggressively, she could have informed us about the delay, she neither informed nor apologised for the inconvenience, the staffs were not at all polite, welcoming or friendly. She asked me to wait for another 20 minutes. It took 1 hour 30 min to get my food. We ordered a mutton biryani for 6 people but the receptionist lady told it's not there instead she can provide chicken biryani ( if some items are not there for serving then better not provide it on the online site or show it as not available ) . We proceed with chicken biryani but she never refunded the price difference. We ordered methuvada as well along with other food items. When we were about to have methuvada the batter was oozing out from methuvada ( not fully cooked ). We ordered a Pepsi bottle as well but they gave us a 7up. Come on what is this....? Main Course: The dosas here are absolutely amazing – crispy, thin, and generously filled. The Mysore Masala Dosa had just the right level of spice, while the Paper Roast Dosa was delightfully crisp. The Sambar and coconut chutney were rich and authentic, adding the perfect balance of flavors. The Chettinad Curry and Paneer Butter Masala were standout dishes, full of depth and spice, paired wonderfully with their soft, fluffy naans.

Hospitality: The staff were incredibly attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. They ensured that every dish was served promptly and to perfection. The warm and welcoming atmosphere made the entire dining experience even more enjoyable.
