Wouldn’t even give this a 1 star rating however had no choice to as there is nothing below a 1 star! Firstly I’ve never wrote a review for anywhere but I feel I needed to with this place! After placing an order.. 15mins later still no popadoms (which where ordered with a starter) & starter! We had to remind staff where our food was, then one waiter brings our popadoms, starter and main all in one go! I’m sorry but who has all that in one go? How do you expect the food to stay warm/hot whilst eating the popadoms and starters? We couldn’t even eat our popadoms fully because the food was getting cold so we started to eat and the mains was a mixed grill with naans. The naans where cold! And the mix grill had no flavour to it! After approaching a member of staff he said he would send over management, the place was not busy at all & took someone to acknowledge us after 10mins, member of staff came over who called himself the manager who I found was rude and had no sympathy for his customers at all! Kept yawing away whilst I spoke and repeatedly asked me what the problems where after explaining to him what’s happened. He kept asking me what do you want me to do?I’m the customer you should be telling me what you would do for your customers. I then said I don’t wish to take the naans home but happy to take the mix grill home as paid for and don’t want to see it go in the bin! The ‘manager’ was not bothered at all and said the guy who took my order down asked us if we wanted the food separately which was a lie he did not ask us! As well as their policy is that they send out popadoms along with mains which I’ve never experienced at any other restaurants before! After explaining everything the manager still would not understand and I had to ask him serval times what can you do for us. I then asked if he would give us a drink on the house for the inconvenience caused (he then said I need to double check if I can) if you are the manager surely you would have known I’f you could do this there and then, so from my experience today he was not the manager and lied! However this was not allowed apparently and he did not even offer anything else for this like a small dish or desert! All he said was I can give you more naans to take home which I explained we was not going home and the naans would go cold again! This review is a lot longer than expected but to explain what I needed to and for other customers who read reviews they need to know what bad service this place has! The attitude and respect to your customers sucks! Would never be returning here to...

Came here on a Saturday afternoon about 2pm and it was very quiet. There's a huge car park, so spaces are plenty.

For starters we had Poppadoms which came with 3 dips (not pictured), followed by the Horseshoe Grill which consisted of: Chicken tikka, Chicken wings, Lamb sheek kebab, Lamb chops, Fish pakora and Chicken lollipops 🍗 , and a Veggie Grill which consisted of: Soya tikka, Paneer tikka, Mushroom pakora and Aloo tikki 🥔

I can't comment on the Veggie Grill as I did not eat it, however the person that did eat it said it was nice 👍. As for the Horseshoe Grill, the portion was split between myself and another person and was decent, however... Eventhough there was some flavours from the chicken, it just felt a bit bland. Both of us ageeed that the most flavoursome thing was the lollipop chicken 🤤🤤🤤 so would definitely recommend that on its own!

As for the chicken tikka once you bite into it, it was dry and not moist 💧, same could be said for the Sheesh kebabs they were leaner tasting in meat but again, they were a little dry that's also with having the dips. The chicken wings, in all honesty were a bit of a letdown too. You get and initial bite of flavour but then it just dies and becomes quite bland 🫤. Fish pakora on the other had was lovely! So it's a bit of a mixed bag. I would still say try it but, I'd also say it might be worth buying things separately .

Moving onto the mains, which consisted of the following: Butter Chicken 🍛 Garlic and Cheese Nann Garlic and Coriander Nann I can't remember what the vegetarian dish was.

The butter chicken.... In short and simple was too tomato based to the point that it didn't really taste like butter chicken. I wouldn't recommend it!

Garlic and Coriander Nann 💯 would recommend it!

Garlic and Cheese Nann... Get this if you are going to share it between at least 3 people as it's heavy 🫄

There is a drinks selection which includes Indian drinks like thumbs up 👍 and Indian lemonade.

Overall it was okay but not amazing, it had it's pros and cons but we left feeling a bit meh about the food. May try again but not in the near future.

Side note: I did not tell the staff I will be leaving my review, and this review is my honest thoughts on this shop! 💯. If you found this review helpful, please rate it positive so that other people can see...

Forget all the others, this one is where they have nailed it. Everything from the decor, to the food, to the carpark.. Yes they have a car park (Stanton, you might as well call it day). The car park huge! Don't worry, you don't have to type your reg into some tablet when you get go inside (Khushi, you might as well call it day too). Unlike other Indian bar grills, especially ones you will find on Wheelwright Lane, you won't get scammed with the food. Order a Chicken Tikka Starter and you will get quality marinated Chicken Breast pieces unlike what you will get elsewhere. You won't have to keep waiting an eternity for someone to bring you some mint sauce (Masala Jack's take note) because you get a whole bottle of it! Order a mixed grill and you won't be disappointed (See my pic). Friendly staff (Micheal at the Stanton, take note) that won't moan if you ask them to get you some salt or any condiments. Comfortable seating and the heating works (take note, Chilli Bites). If you are reading this, don't take my words for how good this place is. Take a visit there and see for yourself. The only criticism I have, is the WC facilities. They could have been made a bit better during the revamp, but I'm sure they will be improved over time. 5 star food and drink at an amazing price. You've gotta give credit to these guys for opening up this special place...

Visited with the family in the late afternoon on a weekday, it was very quiet but that suited me fine. The interior was nicely decorated and clean. Service was welcoming and efficient, beer selection was quite good. I opted for a pint of Atlantic Pale Ale, and soft drinks for the rest. For food, we went for a Butter Paneer as our curry, Plain naans and Chilli Chips as our sides, but the main event was The Horseshoe Grill we ordered. A mixed grill which had decent variety. Sheek Kebabs, Lamb chops, Chicken Wings, Chicken Tikka, Chicken Lollipops, and Fish Pakora. The mixi was quite good. Being from a desi pub hotspot, I've had better, but it was definitely still decent. Possibly my favourite part was the Chicken Lollipops as they're quite a rare addition and these were done in a crunchy southern coated style. The Chilli Chips were great, we normally go for the drier Masala Chips, but we went for these as they were highlighted as being a chef's special. Glad we did. All in all, it was a nice, chilled out, enjoyable meal.

I’ve visited and eaten in here many times and I’ve never been disappointed. I have just had a taken away that arrived very quickly and it was absolutely awful. The regular mixed grill was very very small and full of red colouring and did not taste good, such a rip off for £16. The butter chicken was luminous red and basically looked and tasted like tomato soup in frozen chicken defrosted, again awful, awful awful. I’m so disappointed and felt I’d been ripped off. I just don’t understand why eating in, the food is so different, although I have not been for the past year. I will go in and eat here again and see if they have gone down hill. I will never ever order take away from here again. IMO Khushi grill is best in Cov for eat in and take away. Hot shoe eat in is good, takeaway bad!
