The actual play equipment was good however that's the only good part of the place really. For what it is the equipment was small so I definitely don't see how they can accommodate teen/adult sessions like they advertise. The whole layout of the building is poorly thought out for example putting a softplay for young children upstairs when parents will often have babies with them is poor plus marginalises anyone with mobility issues also. Granted their is a buggy park but most parents with babies don't want to hold their infant the whole two hour session especially if they also have a toddler/child to attend to. Plus you then have to take everything upstairs with you which is not ideal when the space upstairs is small. The seating is cramped and most of the seating is located up a steep flight of stairs which is also where the party zone is and therefore not very suitable for toddlers. There is no gate at the begining of the softplay or a door into the softplay area therefore children could easily leave the softplay area and go down the stairs unsupervised. Granted parents should be watching them at all times but the toilets are located in this area by the stairs so a child could easily go down them and often the fire exit door at the bottom was adjar so a child could easily have escaped. Also it cost £8.50 for two children (a toddler and 4 month old) which ok is reasonable for 2 hours but £2 for under 1's without any suitable equipment for this age group is a bit of a rip off. Staff were friendly but when we attended 24/05/25 2:30pm session there was often one younger member of staff who was left alone. She was coping fantastically behind the counter but it meant often older children on the equipment were running riot up the slide and often nearly trampling over the smaller children on the equipment which was far from ideal with a number of younger children in this session. Overall it filled some time in our afternoon but I do think there are much better designed softplays locally so probably wouldn't...
Read moreHave visited play base many times before with my lil one. The staff are always friendly and welcoming and nothing is too much for them. The play area is safe and clean and perfect size so I don't have to worry about loosing my little one. Safety is their priority with a gate by the door so no little ones can run off. Well run cafe with lots of options in food and drink. Still cannot believe it's ONLY £5 for little ones to play!!! I have also taken SEN children to visit and the play area works great for them too! Playbase were more than accommodating to these children too & helped us work out a party best suited for them. Would 100% recommend this play area for little ones, we are regulars and will continue to be! Thankyou Playbase staff for the amazing...
Read moreI recently celebrated my daughter's 10th birthday party. There was enough room for the kids to run around and play. The package included drinks and food so worth the price. All staff members at this facility are great and the equipment and furniture where clean. Our party hosts were lovely and found lots of was to keep the kids entertained. I highly recommend for a birthday party. My daughter had loads of fun and shared that if you are looking for a fun smashing place to enjoy soft play this is the place. We are definitely coming back. Thank...
