Dudley Canal Tunnel — Attraction in Dudley

The Dudley canal tunnel was the highlight of a recent trip to the Black Country. It sounds a bit of a contradiction but there is just so much to see inside this dark tunnel. The excellent tour guide on the boat tells you so much of the history of the place, from the Jurassic age up to the Industrial Revolution. There is a very good visitor centre and free car park. very good day out,boat pleasant commentator good Staff were nice only thing was THE CAFE WAS PATHETIC, very slow to serve coffee & tea, a few waited for food but some of us waited until we got to next venue before eating. It was taking that long I felt sorry for staff in cafe..They had coach load of us to serve drinks to but the the machines wee so slow, one cup at a time.!SLOW MOTION, !Need multi cup machuines or make tea & coffee...

We have just left this amazing place having travelled down from Blackpool especially and it was well worth the time and effort it took to get there. We spent a really informative and interesting 45mins on the barge being entertained by our guides John and Nathan, to see the engineering and hear tales of the people who worked in those awful conditions was eye opening. We all would highly recommend this tour...
