Bella Italia - Dudley — Restaurant in Dudley

So came here sat down got our drinks did games with my kids choose food etc anyways we finshed are drinks . I said to the waiter for the second time of asking can he take our order . Yeah I will be back just sitting theses people . So waited he brought drinks out to another table sat there waiting when we got there no one was there when we he came around his section was full. So he took all the orders at the same time so being 5\6 tables we sat there and seen him take all the orders. He know we wanted to order and was getting hungry as we hadnt eaten since breakfast. Anyways 30 to 40 mins later he was finally putting our order throw . I went over and said can we just pay for our drinks and leave as been waiting such a long time there was a girl there who said I will get a manger . Never asked to speak to one so she went and got one . He was already assy I didnt want my order then he stromed off I sent my kids and mum outside being disabled I know that it would be overwhelming as he stromed off like I was in the wrong . The manger came over at the time didnt think anything of it but she then went on to say you bring the drinks out first yes I know that anyone does eating out . When we walked out people had sat down the same time as us were finishing their mains and had starters are food hadnt even been put throw ! With 2 young children . Also having all them orders at the same.time surly the kitchen would of been overwhelmed. Yes the manger said dont pay for drinks I had my card and they said no . I dont think the manger delt with it right no one actually said sorry and also spoke to me like im silly the drinks come out first of course im not silly...

We normally go to the Bella Italia in Birmingham city centre and how different these are. The man that greeted us and the lady that took are order was very friendly. However it was very clear that the tables around us was there priority, granted it was two tables birthdays however we was all there paying for the same treatment. We had essentially finished our mains by the time our sides came out. We had fries and a side salad waiting to go with our mains, we could see them sat on the heaters for our whole meal, trying to get anyone’s attention was beyond hard, they was preoccupied by the birthday tables. No apologies when we said we’d been waiting. After we’d finished our mains, waiting for our plates to be taken and our dessert to be brought to us took 40 minutes. There were only 2 other tables in the restaurant. The person who was brining us our food was horrible, rude and was quite frankly wrecked our night. Didn’t catch her name but she was working on the 12/07 between 8-10, had glasses and hair tied up. The tone in which she was using with us was quite disgusting. It was very clear there was a change in tone between the table next to us and our table. I work in customer service and hospitality and I know that it’s no way you treat people in such a way when we was not rude in any way. An honest apology would have been appreciated and probably would have saved the night. I don’t think I could come back again, really put a bad...

I had the absolute pleasure of dining at Bella Italia in Dudley this week with a friend, and it was nothing short of amazing!

From the moment we walked through the doors, we were greeted with genuine warmth and smiles. The restaurant was spotless, setting the stage for a fantastic evening. Our waitress, Rosie, truly elevated the experience—she was attentive, polite, and went above and beyond to ensure we felt valued without ever being intrusive. Service like hers is rare and added a heartfelt, personal touch to our visit.

The atmosphere was vibrant and fun, with the added novelty of being served by a robot—such a unique and delightful twist!

Now, onto the food—simply divine! We kicked off with the Meatballs, bursting with bold, rich flavours. For the main course, we indulged in Lasagne and Pizza, both of which were absolute showstoppers. Every bite was a testament to quality ingredients and expert preparation—tender, smoky, and seasoned to perfection.

A huge thank you to Rosie and the entire waiting staff for their kindness and attentiveness. They turned a great meal into a memorable occasion.
