Our first visit. Went to see Paul Smith at the Pavilion but as the show was delayed we googled options for food and a cheeky burger always wins. 7Bone was just around the corner so thought we'd give it a go. It's Friday night and it's busy. We waited by the door and was soon greeted. Asked for a table for 2, host checked and had a table downstairs, explained how to order and just as we were about to set off a table in the window became free. We asked for that window table and straightaway it was cleaned and prepped for us. As it was our first visit we were taking a little time to work out the menu, but the host noticed and came over to help. It's simple once you know 😉. It was very busy and we were advised food would take up to 1 hour, we explained we were time limited and the host said no problem, made a note on the order. Drinks arrived quickly, shame it's all canned beers and soft drinks, not a big issue but a nice draft pint would have been awesome. Nibbles arrived after 15 mins, mains followed 10 minutes later. Food was great, hot and fresh, although fries without any topping weren't as crisp as we'd have liked but the dirty fries were amazing! A real street food type of experience, we had good food and fantastic service. We'll definitely go again when I'm the area and needing a burger.

Top marks for this burger joint in Bournemouth which I believe is the second installment from the company, the first opened in Southampton in 2013. Having initially looked at a Japanese restaurant on St.Michaels Rd but rudely greeted and pretty much turned away (see my other review) our young family of 4 were warmly welcomed by the gent (sorry should of asked your name!) for a quick lunch time eat before our train back to London. Fun, good time vibes, knowledgeable/professional run through of the menu with recommendations, snappy quick ordering and the food came quick. For the boys, we picked from the kids menu the chicken tenders (crisp outer yet extremely tender inside) with seasoned fries. I picked Ronald's Revenge-reminiscent of a certain big name burger but x1000 better, aged juicy beef goodness. The better half chose winner winner fried chicken burger - I didn't see any leftovers! Seasoned fries-as perfect as you could get, crisp and tasty! Tillman's dirty slaw was just delicious and fresh. All in you couldn't fault anything here, the best thing really were the staff who made us feel good about being there. We loved the exit greeting in Cantonese from one of the chefs which came as a welcomed surprise. Highly recommended for top class unstuffy (as it should be) service and food 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽

Me and my girlfriend had a brilliant time at 7 Bone we ordered two burgers and dirty fires to share, and we were both very happy with the portion sizes and were both very full by the end of the meal. They didn’t have any seating available in the main restaurant, so we were offered a seat in their basement. We were both intrigued about this and went to sit down. To be fair it was very interesting and although we didn’t mind this rustic feel that the basement had others might not enjoy it so much. To put it simple it felt like I was in a horror maze, and I hope they lean into this and put-up decorations for Halloween as that is something I personally would love. Moving on, the order process was easy as they had a QR code we could scan and order from the website no need to wait for someone to take your order, our drinks arrived fairly quickly but we were waiting a little bit for the food to arrive, but it was definitely worth the wait as the food was delicious and had no complaints from my partner, which is always a good sign. And then when we wanted to leave, we just did as we already had paid online it was so easy and I would highly recommend to anyone visiting.

Haven't visited 7bone in a few years, and what a change- we were sat at our table about 20 minutes before any server came to the table, and then began a wait of about an hour and a half. We ordered coq skins for the table to have with drinks while we waited and they didn't arrive- we'd finished our drinks, no one came to ask if we wanted to order more. Finally we caught a server's attention at about an hour in (smart watch was giving a reminder to move since we'd been sat so long!) and they apologised for the wait and offered comped drinks- nice, but they also didn't arrive for about 20 minutes until we'd reminded we'd been offered them. Table beside us walked out without ordering anything after waiting for about half an hour for any sort of attention from the servers.

The food arrived (coq skins arrived with the main meal and were totally cold) and was a real mix of temperatures- one person had totally hot fresh food, the other two in our party had cool burgers and totally cold fries; they'd clearly been sat waiting for quite some time to be picked up and it was clear tables food weren't been prepped together. When the server came back to ask how it was and I said honestly, pretty cold, she did offer to have it remade, but at that point everyone had their meals and we'd already been waiting over an hour so I said no thank you. She then walked off and rolled her eyes; not super professional and made me feel pretty shit. Another server then brought us our bill when we'd just started to eat and asked if we wanted to pay now? We asked if maybe we could wait to finish eating before paying? And she said she'd been told we'd wanted the bill.

We were chatting among ourselves about not being too impressed, while seated beside the kitchen- so I assume one of the chefs informed the first server we'd seen her and so she came back and said she'd not been rolling her eyes at me, but at the kitchen staff for messing up; not too likely when she waited to be away from me but in their eyeline! She again offered to remake my dish and I agreed I'd take it to go- about 5 minutes later she came and informed me they'd "just run out" of one of the ingredients, would I like it without and I said not to bother with any of it. At the end of eating my sister passed round her leftover fries and they were hotter than what my brother and I had been served at the beginning of the meal, making it pretty clear our fries had been sat around at least half an hour before being brought to us.

The main issue that I can see is that the kitchen is running two restaurants with one set of cooks; there's a constant stream of deliveroo drivers picking up orders (Which seem to be what the kitchen prioritises based on how many bags were going out vs how many plates were being taken to tables) and the team is clearly swamped and need more staff on shift or a second kitchen just for take out.

I understand getting frustrated when you're swamped and overworked, but it's honestly a sign of poor management if they can't keep up on a totally normal midweek dinner time. It also really affects the atmosphere to constantly have a crowd of delivery drivers with motorbike helmets on standing in the corner just staring at you as you eat.

At the end of the day, it's bloody expensive for a burger and fries here and yes, our burgers tasted great, but utterly let down by a totally unreasonable wait time for, again- just a burger and fries; this isn't food that takes an hour and a half to prepare. Kindly my fries were comped, and the staff when we saw them were very apologetic, but this has totally soured my perception of the place and means none of us will...

Very easy place too recommend, instantly relaxed in here in spacious airy comfort. We were met by lovely staff and felt most welcome straight off the bat. Short walk from the pavillion and centre of town, easy parking, easy style restaurant. There is nothing "typical" in here, it's got a feel all of its own and it's popularity speaks for itself as you delve into the menu, plenty of choice and mix of fusion food, regular and interesting flavours ..... But it's really confusingly set out, their menu irritated me with it's unclear setout, like everybody had a hand in writing it and didn't bother to edit. Took me 15 minutes to decipher and translate some of it (I knew exactly what sort of food I wanted and the meal size) but couldn't work out what was what, maybe they've changed the style now but back in mid July 2023 I was struggling to figure out out the 40 or more types of chicken and chips or whatever it all was. I was hungry and a bit rushed to see a show and not into asking every single detail of what was what, what it all meant and what quantity would appear before me, I settled on a chicken burrito pizza burger I think with a side of katsu chicken curry chilly fried cheese fries and was thoroughly astounded at the size of food serenely laid before my drooling wide eyes, I'd picked a winner. "The first taste is with your eyes and nose" as they say and I was not disappointed at all. Excellent meal washed down with a cold coke and satisfied burp when done. That was it really, a hand written style menu, small writing and cryptic explanations, maybe I was the odd one out in my ignorance? I'd recommend all day long, the flavours will melt you and the choice too. We will return again and again I'm certain, fun staff happy to serve quality food which felt worth there money all day long. I cannot say fairer than that, enjoyed ourselves and well fed. Cheers guys, see...

We come here rather regularly and are generally greeted by a lovely lady, always the same as we always come on a Wednesday or Thursday. And the place is always pack, but service is always spot on. Unfortunately today was very very different, we walked in and were barely greeted, also the place was empty, we were the only people in the restaurant. The guy just told us to sit down and order from the QR code, I didn’t even have a second to say can he come take our order as I struggle with all that. We sat ourselves down and looked through the menus and the server is over the other side of the restaurant cleaning a fridge, and totally ignoring us, in this time he walked around and I continued to try get his attention with no luck, I put my hands up, I spoke and he even made eye contact on numerous occasions but just totally ignored me. I also noticed the chef scratching his back with one of the knives. At that point (about 15 mins later) we decided to leave and he asked if we are okay, and just smirked when I said we feel we have been ignored and he just replied okay.

So we ended up going to Wagamamas instead, another fave of ours. Since it’s my husbands birthday and this was just a small treat before we go away it’s very disappointing and we were such regulars and it’s one of our favourites, but after all that I don’t think we will be back.

Both my husband and I are in the hospitality industry and have been our whole lives, we totally understand on quiet days you clean, but guests should also be a priority. And too see a chef scratch his back with his knife made us feel physically sick. I’ve never in my life felt the need to walk out of somewhere. Disgusting service and behaviour is a huge...
