Sushi and Roll — Restaurant in England

My 2 friends came here on a college trip to Bournemouth, the food was very good how ever when they went to pay it said declined on the restaurants end then pending on my friends bank then after 5 minutes it left her account completely. The restaurant still wernt having it because it was "declined" but it was completely gone. Then the chef started being very rude, asking if they are English and understand anything. The girls then started getting worried because there was nothing they could do and it had taken their money so they had to call their other friend to help because one of them started having a panic attack. Their friend then came and they were also rude to him and even made him pay another bill for their food so they took 2 lots of £19.30. They eventually took the girls number because they said they will contact and refund her if she gets no money back. It is now the next day and they messaged asking if the money is back and she said no, how it has completely left her pending and left as a transaction and told them how she also went into her bank and they couldn't do anything because the business has the money and she has waited hours but been left with...

Simply incredible. I've been to many Japanese restaurants, but this small, cozy place has undoubtedly become my favorite.

The food quality is outstanding. Everything is freshly prepared with great care. You can truly feel that each dish is made with love and a deep respect for Japanese tradition. The fish is fresh, the flavours are balanced, and the variety is impressive, especially for such an intimate restaurant.

The space is calm, clean, and thoughtfully organised. It’s run by a lovely couple who are incredibly kind and welcoming, which makes the experience even more special. Their hospitality and attention to detail really stand out.

My partner and I ordered the summer roll, salmon hoso maki, black tiger roll maki (my partner’s favorite), Philadelphia roll (my favorite), tuna and salmon sashimi.

I've been coming to Bournemouth on and off for the last 16 years, since I was in my teens, and Sushi and Roll has remained a "must order from" in my household throughout.

Easily some of the best, freshest and most authentic sushi you can find, easily beating some of the expensive made up tripe I've had in London. The owner and chef prepares it in front of you with his family helping him, and takes such care that you can tell he loves his craft. The menu has all the classics and each item is amazing.

I fully recommend ordering some takeaway from this absolute gem, walking down to the pier or park in the afternoon and enjoying it as the world passes by.
