Set in the middle of ten miles of golden sand, Bournemouth Pier is the destination of choice for thousands of families every year. As well as stunning views across the bay, framed by the Isle of Wight on one side and the Purbeck hills on the other, Bournemouth Pier also boasts a wide and varied selection of attractions, entertainments and retail outlets to make any visit to Bournemouth memorable. At the entrance of the pier is the Pier Amusements Family Entertainment Centre. Here you will find a wide range of entertainment machines and all of the most up-to-date videos and prizes. RockReef presents the first pier to shore zip wire! Located at the very end of the Bournemouth Pier and the first of its kind in the world, the PierZip is an experience not to be missed. The RockReef Adventure Activity Centre is also located on the pier and features a wide variety of fun climbing challenges using the Clip ‘n Climb concept, the Pier Cave adventure that includes 3 different levels of challenge and the HighLine aerial obstacle course. Key West bar and grill, with its wide and varied menu is open all year round serving hot food. Aruba Bar and Restaurant is located above the pier providing beautiful sea views. There are a number of shops where you can buy ice creams, pasties and souvenirs! If you do visit for a beach walk, why not use the opportunity to explore other parts of the seafront – there’s plenty to choose from. The BCP Beach Check app – free to download for any Apple or Android device, was originally created to monitor the busy beaches but for the winter time it’s the perfect app for finding another beauty spot.

Bournemouth Pier is well worth a visit. It's clean, kept tidy and maintained and all staff work hard to make everyone welcome. There's bars and cafés, shows, helter-skelter, kiddies rides, outdoor seating and stunning 360 views. There's also a fabulously high spiral staircase to climb and zoom down a exhilarating Zip wire to the beach if you're a bit of an adrenaline junkie. It was open free on the day we went I'm not sure how much it usually costs. It's a very enjoyable walk around. On the promenade at the beach end of the pier, it's the busiest part of the coast there's the Oceanarium, the Big Ferris Wheel, cafe's bars, toilets and gift shops. If you have time carry on walking through the gorgeous Bournemouth Gardens, then do so they're lovely and then of course you can take a stroll around town where you'll find lots of bars and cafés to stop and relax in.

The pier has a lot of history in Bournemouth. As piers go it's not the longest, and not the most exciting of all piers - but it has its own character. At the front is shops, and takeaway food options as well as the amusement arcade. There is a nice space as you walk up the pier for you to stop and look out. Towards the end of the pier things have changed a little since last time I was on the pier - there is an indoor activity centre (climbing walls etc) and also a zip line at the end of the pier going from the pier to the beach. Neither was open on our visit, but looked impressive and a bit different. There is also a bar / restaurant, we did debate going there for food but it was closed by the time we thought about it! (Off season!)

Best beach I've been to so far in England. Absolutely brilliant beach to enjoy a day out with family. Kids loved it and so do the elders. We took a train from London Waterloo to Bournemouth which was a very good idea to go with the kids as there was no questions like "are we there yet?" as they were busy playing their cards and other games. The train journey was under 2 hours and quite enjoyable. From the train station, it was a 15 minutes walk to the sea front which was not bad. On the way back, we took bus from the sea front to the station. We thoroughly enjoyed the visit. Very highly recommended!

Went in to Aruba, absolutely lovely place that serves drinks and eats, unfortunately I was overcharged, which I have contacted them but no response yet. Customer service was lovely, really friendly bar person. Was lovely to sit and have a pint and listen to the waves and people watch having lots of fun. They have the air show starting 29/08-31/08, would be lovely to book a room and sit in Aruba watching this. We didn't go on the pier but was able to see people zip lining down, which costs £10 per person. We walked Boscombe Pier to Bournemouth Pier, it was a stunning walk and would recommend.

It's a fantastic place to experience ocean breeze and sunset along with food and wine in the restaurant there. The restaurant also offers a wide range of cocktails and cocktails to make your evening fabulous. If you have kids a lot of amusement activities are there even more adults can experience zip line from the tower to the beach. It is short but you may never know your adventure sport career start from it leading to bungy jump one day😆. But it's really a good experience. It has docs on both sides where people can do fishing as well. It's a good photography spot and has toilets too.
