Lovely beach for for sand and sea lovers Unlike some of the beaches further to the east, this one is relatively free of pebbles both in the dry parts and also underwater, which makes it nicer to walk along the sand and also makes it far easier getting in and out of the water.
It's not quite as touristy a beach as the ones closer to the pier area, so even on a bank holiday there's a reasonable chance of finding parking in the adjacent car park, and during the rest of the week (during the school summer break) there's always plenty of spaces to spare, which means that your visit to this beach is likely to be stress free even before you get onto the sand and start to unwind.
