A Culinary Delight at Brasserie Blanc, Bournemouth From the moment we stepped into Brasserie Blanc in Bournemouth, I was transported into a world of culinary excellence. The ambiance was inviting, the service impeccable, and the food, simply divine. The star of the evening was undoubtedly the Seafood Paella. A traditional Spanish dish given a unique twist by the talented chefs at Brasserie Blanc. The seafood was fresh, succulent, and cooked to perfection. The mussels, prawns, and squid were tender and flavorful, blending seamlessly with the saffron-infused rice. Each bite was a symphony of flavors, making it a truly memorable dish. However, the pièce de résistance was the Pistachio Soufflé served with Chocolate Ice Cream. This dessert was a revelation. The soufflé was light and airy, with the subtle nuttiness of the pistachios shining through. The chocolate ice cream provided a delightful contrast with its rich and creamy texture. The combination was heavenly, making each spoonful a moment to savor. In conclusion, my dining experience at Brasserie Blanc was nothing short of spectacular. The Seafood Paella and Pistachio Soufflé were standout dishes, each offering a unique and satisfying flavor profile. I highly recommend Brasserie Blanc to anyone looking for a remarkable dining experience in Bournemouth. Bon appétit!

Before visiting I did quite a lot of research for a meal with my partner to celebrate a delayed birthday. Upon finding Brasserie Blanc the location, food and service appeared to be outstanding. I gave the restaurant a call for a booking a few weeks in advance to request an outside table for the view for the 6:45 sitting, mainly to get the sunset. When arriving at the restaurant it took quite a while to be greeted, then further to be sat down. We were then told that no tables were free outside as they were fully booked (two tables sat outside with all the others being free). We were sat inside which was completely fine as I can understand things can change but the service was so slow it ended up with most of our time chasing the servers. Sadly it appeared that they would rather cater for individuals who look and appear rich, which is sadly ruining their target audience. After waiting over 20 minutes to ask for the bill we requested to remove service when we were met with why would we do such a thing. All in all, I think it was pretty clear. The restaurant is worth visiting but just keep in mind the price doesn’t match the service. The food however is outstanding and I can’t fault the chefs in any form.

1. Food was delicious. We went to this place twice and each time was tasty. 2. View is just spectacular! Now… I have to say on our fist visit we had a waitress that misinformed us about the meal, service was very slow and in general she wasn’t nice. I was especially disappointed because instead of full portion I received half… and since I’m pregnant I ended up hungry and then filling in on deserts (and I told to the waiteress I am pregnant and hungry, so really disappointed). Wait time was disaster too. Waitress was as well very arrogant and unkind when she learned only my husband will one glass of wine and I won’t drink (again, don’t think this kind of reaction is appropriate towards pregnant women). And then when the bill came with mismatch there was no reaction from the restaurant side… Our second visit was on the week day and we got very nice waiter and fast service. We went there because we were staying in the hotel and it was just closest option and I was hungry… so kind of speed mattered ;) and second time all was good. Still after first time service I am not sure if I would recommend the place.

*Visit 27th July, only posting now as restaurant have not resolved the issues I raised therefore posting review. *

I booked a table last minute as it was a surprise for my mother in laws birthday and also she retired that week so both occasions to celebrate together and everything online looked very promising here and it looked like a good menu.

When I got there they relayed that they ordered drinks 30 minutes ago and still nothing which was very poor as the restaurant was not busy, only about 10 people in total within the restaurant and bar areas. When ordering, my mother in law had asked for an amaretto (Disarano) and coke which the bar man insisted was a coffee which she had taken the time to explain it was not. She gave the benefit of the doubt and hoped he had understood and waited for the drinks. My farther in law went to cancel the drinks because it had taken way too long and we were about to order food so would then have wine. At that point, 40mins after they ordered two drinks, the barman brought them across and he had made her a hot coffee with a bottle of Coca Cola on the side. She then re-explained again this wasn’t correct and but the barman still didn’t understand what she was asking for though she was very clear, so not a good start. Those drinks were not accepted so they just sorted a refund about 10mins later.

The restaurant was not busy as lunch service was just finishing, but there wasn’t any staff around who came to take a drink order when I arrived so again slow. 20mins later after the drinks scenario, a gentleman came to take our order, which was all done pretty smoothly and was very helpful.

The food came within good time but the waitress we had did not show any enthusiasm or warmth which lessened the experience. My mother in law had the cod fillet which she enjoyed and me and my farther in law chose a rump steak each plus he had a soup. The flavours were good and cooked to medium rare but the meat was a bit tough so slightly disappointing. We also asked for some side dishes of vegetables when ordering which we were told was not a problem (some roast potatoes, green beans etc) but when I asked about this when the food arrived the waitress said that they didn’t have any of that left now. I did have the chocolate and cherry torte for dessert and this was delicious.

Overall the experience was very underwhelming and given we had come out for an occasion, it was disappointing.

The highlight for me was the ladies on reception who greeted us and saw us leave who were very friendly and helpful, they really represented the hotel well.

The restaurant is beautifully decorated too but the service needs much more attention, even if it is a time between services that should not compromise the guest experience. Further training appears to be needed the bar and better communication from the servers to deliver service with ease and within a...

We enjoyed our evening meal at Brasserie Blanc Bournemouth yesterday evening. The service was professional amd not intrusive. After ordering, we noticed a specials board being shown to another table by another waiter. Our waiter did not show us the evening specials. My children thoughly enjoyed their steaks. Cooked how they like them, rare and medium. Also commenting on how the dish was presented. My mother enjoyed the trout, but said it did taste a little dry. I had the bouillabaisse. Upon first impressions it looked and smelt really good. And indeed i thoughly enjoyed the dish. But unfortunately the langoustine and king prawn only contained the heads, with no edible parts for me to enjoy. The bouillabaisse was a good size portion, containing all other fish and vegetables stated on the menu. My initial thought at the time was slight disappointment. Rationalising, that more than likely, the bouillabaisse would be ladled from a large pot to my dish and therefore having a langoustine or king prawn in its entirety may not always be plausible. So I did not make my disappointment known to the waiter at the time. But when leaving and noticing a photo showing the bouillabaisse on a promotional 'A' board by the entrance.. it showed both with the edible parts present. I later looked at user review photos online. It too showed both langoustine and king prawn how it was pictured on the promotional board. So upon reflection, my initial disappointment seem to be justified. I should of made my thoughts clear at the time, rather than giving the benefit of doubt. I do hope this doesn't happen to others when ordering this lovely dish. The crumble and chocolate mousse was enjoyed by all and my cheeseboard...

Definitely won't be back and won't recommend. Service was sloppy, as we sat down at the table waitress instantly asked ,where we ware from ? Which in my opinion is not polite and not really her business , my partners drink came back wrong , but he is not a person of complaints so just accepted that drink but did mention that it wasn't what he ordered. Starters ware lovely and that's the only nice thing I can say about this place. When it came for our mains .... I ordered stake medium well it came Rare , I had to wait about 10 minutes to catch a waitress to point out that my food is cooked wrong , she took the food and walked off , came back in 5 minutes asked what I want to do with the stake get a new one or just cook this one how I want it, I asked for new stake and 10 min later got a well done stake, the manager came back to ask how was my stake to which I replied better than it was he said "brilliant" and walked off. I have never before sent my food back or wrote a complaint , but this restaurant deserves one star , when the waitress was clearing our table after the mains she said to me " oh so you did send your stake back " which I didn't quite understand what was the remark for , we decided not to stay for any longer and asked for the bill , she said " let me speak to my manager" came back with the bill , the only thing they did for us was charge for the original drink my partner ordered as it was cheaper then what they gave him .Bill came up to 77 pounds with the service charge and for the first time ever I asked to take the service charge off , as neither the service or the food...
