Waited 5 min for a table, then the table was given to another customer who decided to move from the bar to the table, fine. When I ordered food I was told I need to wait for 45min, having been to many Korean restaurants I have never heard of such a long wait as most prepared their food for quick serving, ok that’s fine. Waited over 40 min while seeing customers who arrived later have their food served, the guy asked if I have ordered food yet, then later I realised they treated that as take away and food have been waiting at the counter for at least 10-15min. A hungry customer isn’t very pleased. The store owners don’t communicate within themselves!
Having been to many Korean restaurants and Korea, the food is definitely not up to standard. My udon was soggy, probably because of the long wait or the udon quality isn’t as good as the frozen ones I buy from supermarket. Kimbab was tasteless, it should have some sesame oil and the carrot should not be raw. The beef dupbab has little beef, e.g. “bibimbap” in soho London has triple size of this, rice is dry, meat is in small pieces. To be honest the food quality doesn’t deserve the wait.
If the restaurant is in London or any big cities it would definitely not survive. They should really improve the speed of delivery and...
Read moreDisappointing. After all the 5 stars reviews I was expecting more, but I guess most people have little exposure to proper Asian / Korean food.
I had the sweet potato glass noodles which were good, but there were so few vegetables I could count them: about 4 slices of courgette, a few pieces of cabbage and some leaves and stalks. Most everything else were noodles.
My wife had the Korean ramen noodles which were a major letdown. The noodles were nothing more than dry noodles you can buy from most Asian shops for 75p, and the broth was probably made with the accompanying sachet of powder that comes with the noodles pack. It was heavy with MSG which my wife can't stand. I tasted a few spoons and I still have the MSG taste in my mouth a few hours later.
The miso soup also tasted like a sachet of store bought soup paste dissolved in hot water.
Overall nothing better than some pre packaged dry ingredients bought from an Asian store, with a big of spring onion and sesame oil added for good measure.
Again, probably fine for someone who never tasted good Asian food, but I've been around quite a bit and I can't recommend this place for flavour.
Service with a smile though, the people working there seem genuinely fine, pity...
Read moreIt’s been on my bucket list for a few weeks based on the review I saw on Google, and when I say it’s delicious and 100% recommended, please trust me!
It has a small space, there are only like 5 tables, so on certain times, there’ll definitely waiting list. They don’t have written waiting list, you just have to wait outside, first come first served, or depending which table is free, once there’s an empty table, you’ll be called.
If you don’t want to wait for too long don’t come at rush hour like lunch time, or just order the food for takeaway.
The owners are very nice and friendly, it’s adding warm feeling like visiting relatives house or eating Mum’s homemade food.
Once you ordered, you don’t have to wait for so long, they cook it really fast, yet the taste hit the spot! I ordered their spicy pork bibimbap, chicken yakisoba, chicken yakitori, and dumpling. Everything that I ordered is delicious, it’s perfectly seasoned and portioned.
I highly recommended you try their bibimbap, their sauce is just amazing.
No other words can describe my experience other than delicious, worth the wait, and highly...
