Visited on 30th October 2023, I'm disabled and Blue Badge user. So here is a word of warning DON'T GO if you value your purse. There is no clear signage suggesting parking is limited to 2 hours. Yes 2 hours to visit the shops. We parked outside B&M store and went in where we spent a sizeable amount of monies. DH then drove us up to Iceland. Once again no clear signage. We spent a sizeable amount of money here as well. A total of 2hrs 45mins later back in our car having thought will come back here in about a month. Nope Never Again. 13 days later I receive a letter via Royal Mail from a firm called Horizon telling me I have less than 1 day to pay up £52 or £85 after the 14 day period of first notification. Alt I could make a complaint but there was no point as they state the rules of parking in this car park are clear. Now being retired Law Enforcement I know my Legal rights and obligations. I also know the hassle and time it takes as well as the unlikely outcome of this going in my favour for what to have a CCJ placed against me for the next 7 years. I paid, which is likely why the company send these letters out so late. If they had waited until after the 14 day period then I would have been in a better position of contesting this. So I hope this review gets back to the companies named, shamed and who run this Car Park. You are a bunch of leaches who are destroying the very heart of people helping to support your businesses. Will I be back NOT IN THIS LIFETIME unless you get rid of this ridiculous parking system and the Horizon company who are clearly flouting and targeting your customers. And When I say sizeable amount of money you just lost any future revenue for visiting this or any other place near York again. No wonder the High Streets and shopping...

Read moreIt's a bit grim really, well for me, not grim as in it's quite upper class I suppose being in York but I don't like any retail park, they're clinical & just lots of major retailing chains clumped together in one large place, just industrialised selling, no charm, just to get what you need or want & probably end up with more, there's Waitrose, Sainsbury's, Morrison's with fuel station & car washes & other major branded stores. I don't like that there's not enough time given on the car parks to allow what I needed to do without...
