Whilst we were walking through Yorks City Walls, we came across Walmgate Bar that looked closed but to my surprise, it was open, we walked in, and the staff there were so lovely we decided to have Earl Grey Tea, and then we wanted to get some fresh cakes too. We went upstairs, and it was incredibly cosy, and my partner and I had a lovely time here resting between our sightseeing, and the tea was lovely. I remember I was so tempted to order more but being on a budget; we couldn't. I know there was wifi, but it's password protected, so you'd need to ask the staff for the password. Look out for the musket ball holes on the wall outside and contemplate whom came to meet their maker in the last Barbican in the country.
