Walmgate Bar — Attraction in England

Whilst we were walking through Yorks City Walls, we came across Walmgate Bar that looked closed but to my surprise, it was open, we walked in, and the staff there were so lovely we decided to have Earl Grey Tea, and then we wanted to get some fresh cakes too. We went upstairs, and it was incredibly cosy, and my partner and I had a lovely time here resting between our sightseeing, and the tea was lovely. I remember I was so tempted to order more but being on a budget; we couldn't. I know there was wifi, but it's password protected, so you'd need to ask the staff for the password. There is seating on the ground floor and upstairs. I would happily visit here again because it was such an excellent place for tea...

A great piece of English heritage and a coffee house to boot. Quaint and quirky with good tea and coffee plus a selection of excellent cakes. Well worth a visit. Look out for the musket ball holes on the wall outside and contemplate whom came to meet their maker in the last Barbican in the country. It might sound a tad grisly but the chocolate Rocky Road more than sweetens...

What a stunning place. The history of this building is incredible, and it forms part of York's city walls, an impenetrable steel ring around the ancient city. Also there is a nice coffee shop in here which is well worth a visit. Does a nice latte and a delicious campachoochoo. You can sit on the top of the bar too. Nice views on...
