Absoloutley fantastic park! Pleasure beach is by far the UK's best theme/amusement park. It has rides for everyone, including Valhalla and Big one as their two greatest thrill rides and a load of family rides as well! Unlike most theme parks, Pleasure beach is flexible with it's entrance fee. Instead of having to pay full price (Ā£35) to enter the park even if you don't want to ride anything, you can go in for just a fiver if you don't want to ride anything. Whilst some people complain about this, at most theme parks you will have to pay full price no matter what. You can also buy wristbands for just Nickelodeon land at a cheaper price.
Overall I would highly reccomend Pleasure beach to everyone, it is fantastic, has great rides for all ages and the queues are never too long (compared with other UK theme parks.) I would reccomend this park over the likes of Alton towers, Thorpe park and Chessington because it is...

It is chaos with massive ques and kids changing their minds who they want to sit with or end up 6 kids take over one coaster all sitting themselves. They disappear about 4pm but then some of the rides start developing 'faults' or get shut. Came with my 6 year old and the coasters she can ride are good and worth the wait even watching the speedy ticket folk hum and haw with who's sitting at the front. Could be quicker ride turn around also but it's mostly folk just taking their time to get off and find their friends.
Some big hitter rides but not enough smaller ones to do that are worth waiting anymore than 20mins.
We did the ice skate show Hot Ice which was the afternoon shown for a fiver which was extremely good and about the only value I feel we got out the day.
4th time I've been over the years and Definenlty the poorest experience yet. Wee one brave faced it all...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLoved the hot ice show! Skaters, choreography, music and costumes were fab. Most of the skating was good or excellent. Excellent pair skaters and dramatic fast routines. Good use of lighting & pyrotechnics. A couple of the male skaters were having a mare, and kept falling on their triple jumps (ouch) but it was still fantastic! The skaters often entered the rink from the stairs in the audience, they were within touching distance! The aerial acrobat was awesome. We were able to pre-order interval drinks, chose hot chocolate as expected to be frozen but the theatre wasn't nearly as cold as thought, didn't need the blanket we'd taken! Went to one of the public skating sessions on Saturday morning, very different skating in an ice theatre rink as its small and compact. Amazing the skaters in the show got so much speed to do these big jumps, even saw a triple flip, triple toe combo...
