Visited fri 3rd June 2022 ...8 people / 2 x adults , 5 x paying children and 1 child free entry . Children ages all between 5 and 12 . ###### £70 ######,,,,,, 70 pounds to be in and out in 20/25 mins even though we slowed down to read the facts as we very quickly realised this was an in and out deal ....barley anything interactive unless you pay for it on top (machines inside )which we did so that was another another £9 . My children collect the books and we thought it would be amazing although the children enjoyed what they saw to a degree, it was not worth the money and we had to mess about transferring money through diff banks as they wouldnt take cash .Staff wernt very inviting , seems they had to be there instead of want to be there . Having 6 children we are very used to things beings expensive as a family but we also budget in other areas for they money we paid we could of gone to the tower or water park or madam tous ,and had a brilliant experience..feel really let down as parents we came out feeling deflated about what we just paid for ,we have a huge museum at doncaster and its free and takes few hours to get around . As you can see by other reviews with photos you dont need to visit what you see is all thats there extremely disapointed ...Will not be back and advise you dont waste your money , go to the many other attractions as this isnt what it seems. 0 for value for money 1 for...
Read moreThis museum is small, but it contains enough unusual objects and interesting facts to fill a couple of hours (it took me about an hour and forty minutes to walk through). Adult admission was £13, card payment only. It's £10 for a child, and under-4's go free. The lady at the entrance was chatty, friendly and very helpful. You enter the museum across a rope bridge, and then walk through a series of themed galleries on two levels. Not easily accessible for people with disabilities, as there are a few dimly lit passages and a staircase to negotiate, and no lift. But there's certainly plenty to see: animal oddities, amazing artworks fashioned from everyday objects, models of the world's tallest man and smallest woman, artefacts of ancient indigenous cultures from all around the world, and much more besides. It's worth taking time to read the printed info that accompanies each exhibit, and there are also a few videos and interactive displays. I found it very interesting, though I imagine some of the things on display, such as the shrunken heads, might be too scary for younger children. The mirrors were great fun, and there were some interactive puzzles and slot machines to try (though the one I tried took my money but didn't work). The moving tunnel at the end was quite an experience! No café or toilets, but there is a shop where you can buy...
Read moreVisited this museum in March 2022 while on a weekend break in blackpool. We had been trying for a baby for 2+ years with no luck and so many months of disappointment. My partner told me about the fertility statue in this museum and of course i wanted to go and see it. After all when you want something so much youll pretty much try anything possible.. we visitied this museum on 19/03/2022 and i followed the instructions of the fertility statue and hoped for a miracle.. on the 30th April 2022 i happened to take a pregnancy test as i was feeling a little strange for the past week i was so nervous taking this test as all the previous ones had left me disappointed to the point i had started to give up trying... to my surprise I had a faint positive and tested 3 more times including a digital clearblue and found out i was 2-4 weeks pregnant with my first baby...We were absolultely over the moon with this and we went through a healthy pregnancy with a beautiful little boy he was born 19/12/2022 at 37+3days gestation weighing 5lb 6oz and hes absolutely gorgeous! Still to this day i believe the trip to this museum to see and touch that fertility statue worked its magic for me.. its just such a coincidence :) will always stick by this and will be showing my little boy this museum when hes...
