Cornwall Museum and Art Gallery — Attraction in England

As a local I have been many times however Cornwall Council (A Fully Conservative Council) decided to withdraw funding so the future is in jeopardy for this wonderful place, which houses many artifacts, it's jewel in the Crown is literally its collection of crystals and mineral specimens which is widely reputed as to be quite frankly wordless, which now could become lost forever and considering the majority were from Cornwall taken from the various mines by many everyday and some far more renowned figures, along with various other Cornish artifacts such as a silver spade from when Queen Victoria opened Truro's Victoria Gardens. Then you need to consider the impact on the identity and cultural awareness of Cornish people should such a place close, the impact would be huge on the Cornish people but also cultures of many people from every continent descended fton the Hard Rock pioneers who without their input we wouldn't have had a Bronze age, America and its wild west, would not exist nor its gold pioneers, Diamonds would be rare as the hard rock needing defeat before they are surrendered again only the Cornish made it possible. It appears Cornwall Council tories only fantasise about what makrs a good policy, and waste the public purse on their own vanity and they apparently don't read the papers from their government and Business secretary Kwasi Kwatang regarding the levelling up of the UK and how Cornwall is the future for uk business without Cornwall UK lithium supply would be None meaning imported lithium and expense of the metal rather than the rewards it seeks from being Europe's raw material lithium supply so support Cornwall support the people of Cornwall and from every part of the world by supporting Royal...

Our first visit here and tbh I wasn't expecting to stay long as my youngest with special needs gets overwhelmed so we end up rushing out. Not here. They loan out sensory backpacks, which includes ear defenders, squashy toys and tangle bands plus more, all to help keep that person calm. And it worked. It meant my eldest two could do the crafts on offer, follow the quiz around the museum and spend time looking at the exhibits (currently includes a mummy) They also do Explorer packs for children, which have magnifying glasses in and other bits to help them go round. They can ever wear an explorers hat,which my older two loved! The price is also brilliant. It's £5.50 for an adult but under 16s are free. Carers also get free entry too. The staff and volunteers were all so helpful, from showing me where I could store the buggy, to a lady talking about the mummy when my daughter said they scare her. She explained all the good he did in life. The museum has lots of history of Cornwall to look at which is fascinating. There's also a little cafe in the museum though we didn't have time to stop in as we had stayed so much longer than I thought we would as we were having so much fun! We definitely will...

I visited the RCM on Thursday 8th June as part of my Cornwall holiday itinerary. Having travelled 350+ miles to visit many places in Cornwall I was dissapointed and appalled by the behaviour of the young lady who was present at the counter as we attempted to pay and enter the museum. Two other customers were already waiting patiently as the counter assistant (Lucy) held a conversation with her friend on the phone which was clearly unrelated to work at the RCM. Even as my party arrived and took position behind the already bored with waiting customers, she never wavered from her conversation. After 8 or 9 minutes and as we had been seen waiting I decided to continue entering the museum and pay on the way out. After I passed the cashier desk and entered into the first room, she (Lucy) told her friend she would call back in a minute and hung up the call and proceeded to take money and allow us in without the slightest apology or recognition that we had been waiting for near on 10 minutes and the other customers for longer. What an example of ignorance and disrespect this young lady is and what kind of message does this behaviour send to foreign visitors to the 'Royal'...
