Whitby Sea Front — Attraction in England

Beautiful blue sea, lots to see and do, we called by only because we visited the village of goathland ( aidensfield) I recommend visiting either place. It's not the best for wheelchair access their is lost of steps and hills, the fish and chips are nice but expensive, the local people are friendly and welcoming, overall a very nice visit and a chance to visit some British TV film location such as the royal and heartbeat, if you visit goathland the village where heartbeat was filmed, you find places such as scripts garage open and the post office along with the pub and fully operational Train station all within the village, and just up the...

Whitby Beach offers something for everyone. An extraordinary beach and shore platform on the east side of the harbour, it is completely covered at high tide but is over 100m wide at low tide and you can walk for 1km along the base of the cliff. BE CAREFUL - check the times of high tide and don't get cut off. Whitby was famous in Victorian times for its jet and its fossils and there is still lots to be found on this beach.
