There is another place that hire boats for £8 per adult but there was a queue. When we saw this place & saw that they charge £10 per adult, we asked them why their price was higher? they said they’ll teach us how to paddle. They assured us that many people coming here are beginners. So we paid, and the staff member who was supposed to teach us, spoke to us for less than 20 seconds & pushed our boat into the water even though we told him we were not ready & still trying to figure out how to control the paddles! Prices have gone up considerably within a short amount of time - from £7 to £10 between my last two visits, but kinda to be expected with the ever rising cost of living.
It is worth it though if it's just for an experience. Done it a few times with family and makes some fun memories with remembering how to row and steer and avoiding other boats. Pretty views, too, especially in summer, of course - and duckies!!
