Very disappointed! Was going around the historical landmarks of Knaresborough for the day and really wanted to see this, even just the outside of it. Unfortunately it was closed off completely. I certainly understand that for religious reasons they may not wish for visitors inside apart from on religious days like Sundays but padlocking gates so visitors cannot even head on the path to just see the outside of it is surely unnecessary. I couldn’t see it whatsoever due to a very high wall. They need to decide whether they want it to be public or not, and putting it on maps is not really helping that.
