We recently booked a last-minute weekend getaway at the Boulevard Hotel, Blackpool, to enjoy the final showing of the Hot Ice show—an event we had long been wanting to attend. Our stay was on Saturday 7th, and it was meant to be a special trip, particularly as I was also planning to surprise my daughter for her birthday. Before arriving, I emailed the hotel to arrange for a box of their luxury chocolates to be delivered to our room. A polite member of staff promptly responded, confirming that everything was organised and payment could be made at reception. This attention to detail in communication made for a smooth and reassuring start to our stay. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by a courteous gentleman at reception. He kindly gave us tickets for the Hot Ice show and ensured a quick and easy check-in. He also gave a helpful tip to keep our windows closed due to sand flies, which we appreciated. Thankfully, the room had air conditioning, so this was not an issue. The room itself was lovely—spotlessly clean, stylish, and comfortable. As an extra touch, a small birthday cake with chocolate-piped writing and a personalised card was waiting in the room for my daughter. She was thrilled with the thoughtful gesture, which added to the celebratory atmosphere. We spent some time at the hotel bar, where we enjoyed drinks in a relaxed setting. Later, we had a delightful meal at the White Tower Restaurant. The dinner was delicious, and the service matched the high quality of the food. The Hot Ice show was everything we had hoped for—an absolutely fantastic performance that truly made the weekend special. Unfortunately, our night’s sleep wasn’t as peaceful as we had hoped. This wasn’t entirely the hotel’s fault, but inconsiderate guests in the room above severely impacted our experience. From midnight to around 3:30 a.m., there were frequent bursts of noise—what sounded like furniture being dragged around the room in intervals of 10-15 minutes. It was extremely disruptive and frustrating. I attempted to call reception several times between 1:30 and 2:15 a.m., but no one answered. Finally, I tried calling the hotel directly from my mobile phone, and to my surprise, it was answered straight away, with the night staff responding that they would “come and have a look.” While the effort was appreciated, it did little to alleviate the noise issue at the time. The following morning, we headed down for breakfast, which was lovely. The buffet had a wide variety of options, and the quality of the food was excellent. Despite being tired from the sleepless night, we checked out quickly without mentioning the issue at the front desk. In hindsight, we probably should have, but the noise from the guests above did put a damper on our otherwise enjoyable stay. In conclusion, the Boulevard Hotel is a beautifully designed hotel with attentive staff, excellent food, and great proximity to attractions like the Hot Ice show. However, due to the building’s structure, noise from inconsiderate guests can easily travel between rooms, which marred our experience. If you’re lucky enough to have quiet neighbours, your stay will likely be fantastic.

This stay left us with mixed feelings. While there were notable positive aspects, some disappointing elements marred the overall experience. On the positive side, the hotel's location was undeniably excellent, situated next to Blackpool Pleasure Beach. The entrance was impressive, creating a positive first impression. Team members were friendly and welcoming which resulted in a great first impression. However, the experience took a downturn when we were informed of a £100 security deposit per room upon arrival, catching us off guard. Upon entering the room, the initial impressions were overshadowed by a sign in the bathroom warning of a £15 charge for any removed bottles. The bath towels had noticeable holes, and mould marred several tiles, detracting from the overall cleanliness. Despite these setbacks, the room facilities were generally satisfactory, featuring a comfortable bed and useful amenities. The disappointment peaked on New Year's Day when we discovered the hotel closed at 12:00, resulting in unavailable luggage facilities and a rushed check-out experience. Surprisingly, housekeeping knocked on our door at 09:30, well before the 11:00 checkout time, reflecting a rush to clean rooms and conclude their duties early, an unexpected inconvenience. Moreover, the television channels, including BBC 1, 2, and ITV, did not work correctly, adding a frustrating note to our stay. The attempt to offer amenities at London prices fell short, with the overall experience lacking a wow factor. Comparing our stay to a previous one the night before at Premier Inn Blackpool North, the differences seemed minimal, with only the décor standing out. A final disappointment was the pricing of beverages, particularly the steep charge of £18 for two Gin and Tonics. This pricing, coupled with other inconveniences, left us questioning the overall value for money. In conclusion, while the hotel's location and initial impressions were positive, various shortcomings, including an early closure on New Year's Day, and overpriced amenities, left me with a mixed opinion of this establishment. Improvements in these areas would undoubtedly enhance the overall guest experience.

Right on the beachfront and right next to pleasure beach. Lovely looking hotel, well maintained gardens and plenty parking spaces on arrival. Warm and professional welcome, fast check in. Everything about the hotel was lovely. Room was immaculate, spacious and a cool temperature on arrival. Thermostat was a bit tricky at first but easy once you get used to it. Beds were comfortable with plenty pillows. Safe(no charge) in the drawer with room for laptop(s). Voss water supplied in fridge, replenished daily. Soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, body lotion replenished daily. Tea, coffee, Walkers shortbread etc restocked daily. Iron/board & hairdryer In room. Huge TV. Another review mentioned a charge however there was no charge for freeview TV channels but for films which you can pay £5 per film and there was a good selection. Everything you need in your room. Continental and full English breakfast served from 7.30 to 10am was lovely. Staff were all wearing masks & hand gel available throughout the hotel. Staff were polite, helpful and professional. My only issues would be that we were on the adults only 3rd floor and on our first night there were kids screaming and thumping around upstairs all along the corridor, doors banging late at night and someone very heavy footed at midnight and 6am (personally I think 4th floor would be better for adults only) . Also there was a small area of the bathroom that could be doing with touching up (Room 315). But neither of these enough of an issue to knock a star off my review as the hotel and staff were amazing. Having stayed at the Big Blue previously I would definitely say the Boulevard is worth the extra cost an I will absolutely book here again.

I’ve been to a few five star hotels and rate most of them highly for their more luxurious experience, without fleecing people for the sake of it, but I do feel this hotel takes fleecing to a whole new level. Maybe I wouldn’t have felt this way if I didn’t have such a bad first impression as upon arriving I was greeted with a male staff member who seemed to think what the customer next to me was saying to the other staff member was more important than answering my questions. I was stood there watching as he completely ignored me, after he stopped was he was saying and decided to listen to the other conversation which didn’t Involve him instead. It didn’t seem to matter that I, as a paying customer, was actually in the middle of checking in with him. Add in the £18 a day for the car park and the £19 per person for breakfast which feels a bit over the top. We opted out of breakfast and are so glad we did, because for £6.99 a head the Wetherspoons along the road is unbelievable. This hotel could learn something from the astounding service we got in the Wetherspoons and the fact that blew me away more than this hotel says it all. The room itself was nice enough, the beds comfortable and clean. You will have to pay to watch movies on the tv, but can also just opt for normal channels. The view from the window was nice enough and I did make use of the gym too. Tbh I’m not really seeing what is five star about the place though. I’ve stayed in much nicer hotels which are better value and don’t have a person at the front desk who dismisses you because he’s more interested in other people. We won’t be staying here again, The Imperial Jotel is much better if you’re looking for luxury.

Stayed one night here. Staff member on reception was polite. Booked two rooms, a family room for our two older teen children and a coastal view suite for myself and my husband, both were very nice. We didn't request an accessible room but the family room was one so bathroom lay out wasn't standard I'm assuming. Coastal suite was a beautiful room, decor well maintained and brilliant views. There were for us little things you expect from a 4 star hotel that were missing. Bathroom amenities such as vanity sets with ear buds, cotton pads etc and shower caps weren't provided. The bathroom was stunning however the two sinks meant there was no room to put your own toiletries, make up etc. No note pads or pencils, we often use them during our stay and didn't bring our own as they generally come as standard. We heard a customer mention they'd ordered room service but there were no details in the room to explain how to book or what was available. Like I say, little things but things you would expect from a hotel at a certain price point. There were umbrellas provided that, had we stayed longer would have been very useful. Staff member on the bar was a friendly young man that made us feel very welcome. Excellent wine, highly recommended the pinot noir. Challenge 25 enforced with my eldest, good to see. Felt very safe knowing that the key cards were required to enter the corridors. As far as hotels in Blackpool go this is an exceptional one and we would definitely stay again.

Service here is poor - I dunno if we hit unlucky or what but we paid about £700 for two nights and I have had better service buying a pasty at Gregg's ...the rooms are exactly what you want for a family - perfect 👏 they were also clean to the highest standard. But from adding an extra date on to our booking which was so unnecessarily difficult to then checking in, which was equally as hard work to sitting in the restaurant for a life time awaiting our food 2 hours for two courses & only asked if we would like a drink once not ideal anytime but particularly with small kids was a nightmare... Food was also not cheap ...to booking breakfast so that we could be sure to get a table but then waiting 30 mins anyway despite reservation... To my son's birthday wish of "happy 50th birthday" (he's 5) to the activity packs we bought for the kids that we had to go and ask for (again), but the worst of it was the lack of acknowledgement & apology .. felt a bit like the location & building lends itself to staff to being able to just not make best efforts. We did however notice one young member of staff who seemed to get it & he was really trying to pull it together but it was clear he was dealing with a hectic team of people at breakfast the second morning 😞 which we didn't reserve a table for but had prepaid & discovered that the wait time was about the same as reserving anyway ..
