A modern shopping experience. The actual shops are in a series of blocks, with courtyards and plenty of walking space. Some also have an awning above the walkway, quite useful if you get sudden rain, as we did on our trip.
The shops are spread out over the estate, and there are various information points and fingerboards to help you navigate around.
Amongst the shops are a number of cafes and fast food outlets. A few of these have outside seating, which I suppose shows English optimism!
There are a couple of decent sized car parks, but these do seem to get filled up quickly. The price for is not too bad at £3 for 5 hours.
The site is covered by a free WiFi offering, which I was pleasantly surprised to discover.
The whole site is family friendly and there is a large child's play area. It's also suitable for those with mobility issues.
I would highlight that a lot of the shops are big brand names; and the prices reflect that, even with the "outlet discount".
I also noted that there are a number of units closed up. They've made them look better by clever use of vinyl wrap to hide empty shops, which could show town centre planners how to make theirs look better.
It's the kind of place that people go to spend a morning or afternoon (or even a whole day!) shopping. I'm not sure I'd be happy to go more than once or twice a year, but clearly there are others who go very regularly.

Read moreI was impressed. The first thing I noticed was the place is really clean and tidy with toilets right at the entrance of the village so you can do a toilet run before walking around, the toilets are cleaned to a high standard, didn't smell like a toilet and were pleasant to use so well done to all the cleaning staff your doing a fantastic job, 3 of my 5 stars go to the cleaning team. With a map of the village its quite easy to navigate through but if you get really stuck there are staff walking around to help you with what ever your needs while in the village. Although I didn't find what I wanted everyone I met in the shops and the village staff were very nice and helpful. I feel the management team have set this village up very well from the car parking to having the very clean toilets at the entrance cos who doesn't need a toilet run after a journey, to the maps and staff for navigation to plenty of coffee shops for sit down break while you're there. With all of the above I had a very...
