Hull Waterside and Marina is a lovely place to visit, with a vibrant and modern atmosphere. The marina is situated on the River Humber, and the surrounding area is home to a range of restaurants, bars, and retail outlets. It is a great place to spend a day out with family or friends, or even to enjoy a longer stay.
The marina itself looks well-maintained and equipped with all the necessary amenities for boaters, including berths for boats of various sizes, a fuel station, and access to electricity and water. It's always nice to have access to clean and well-maintained shower and toilet facilities, and the laundry facilities are a nice touch too.
The location of Hull Waterside and Marina is also convenient for exploring Hull and the surrounding area. With a range of events and festivals taking place throughout the year, there's always something happening to keep visitors entertained.
Overall, based on my experience, Hull Waterside and Marina is obviously a great destination for boaters and visitors alike. I am definitely recommending a visit to anyone who is interested in enjoying a vibrant atmosphere the Hull waterside and...
Read moreHad a very bad experience with Aquavista Marina at Sawley in Long Eaton. When I wanted to put the boat in to their marina nothing was impossible I could have even crained it in next to the slip way if the water had been deep enough. The problem came when I wanted to take the boat out. What was possible without a problem when I brought the boat there, now was not allowed anymore. They did everything in their might possible to make my life difficult. Suddenly the area where the boat was lifted in which was absolutely fine, even their own staff helped to get it in, was now not fine anymore and I wasn't allowed to get it out there anymore. They even threatened to let the land owner know that i wanted to take it out there. In the end I had to take the boat 3 miles down the Trent to a different marina and they lifted it out for me without any problems. So Aquavista, I am sorry but I am not going through that again in any kind of way. You might have very nice marinas but what matters most is great...
Read moreAlways worth a stroll around the Marina area regeneration is taking it's time but the results are already pleasant. Now with the completion of the new footbridge over the insanely busy Castle Street dual carriageway the Marina and beyond are accessible more safely than ever. The Murdoch Connection, as the footbridge is now called, puzzled both me and the public at large as to the origins of the name.
But on further investigations the name was well chosen and greatly deserved. Mary Murdoch was Hull's first woman GP and went on to do much good work in the community, especially with women. My ignorance of her achievements is a shame of my ignorance. I wasn't the only one to say Mary who?
At the moment flood defence work is being carried out so some areas are like a building site. But when completed part of the Hull City centre will be a giant plus for the city. Which makes a change from the depressing closures of many of the well known High...
