Absolutely horrific experience today with the manager. Seriously avoid this place at all costs. Visited here today with family, and upon arrival we were told we couldn’t have a table booked for 9 people. So he asked for two names (2 separate bookings) and told us we weren’t going to be sat together. Despite there being a booking for 9 people for a month. My auntie forgot her mask, and my mum had a spare one in her bag for her. He said ‘you can’t come in without a mask, your sister will just have to come find you’
My Auntie manages to get us sorted in two separate booths, but he tells us we aren’t allowed to put a seat on the end of the table & we aren’t allowed to talk to each other.
Me and 3 other members of family, ordered our food and drink via the app. My other members of family (who were now seated at the other end of the room) decided they didn’t want to stay, as lots of Items were sold out on the menu, including various wines that they wanted. I went to the bar to ask to cancel our order and please can we have a refund, to be told by the manager ‘you can have a refund for your drinks but your food will already be cooking so no I refuse a refund on your meals today’ we had literally ordered 5 minutes previously. I Explained to him that several family members have already left and weren’t happy with the menu choice so please can we just have a refund on the meals and drinks. Stuck to his guns and says no refund on meals, only drinks. Asked for a credit note towards a meal another time maybe? He still said no. I asked him if I approached him and said ‘my mother has just been rushed into hospital, I need to cancel my food, would he refund then?’ And he said no, probably not. Took his name, and told him his customer service and manners right from when we walked in were disgusting. Me & 4 other members of family are now £30+ out of pocket, and the food will still have gone to...
Read moreI went into the bar this evening and a young man asked me what I'd like , I said a white wine. He asked me to move up the bar which I did. He asked again what I'd like, white wine I replied, which one i said maybe a pintot gricio. He gave me a glass of rose wine which I said I didn't ask for and asked to exchange. He brought a female bar member over and she asked me my issue. I said I didn't have one I just simply wanted a white wine. She said well you've got a white zinfandel, I said its a rose, she said I'd asked him for a white zinfandel. I said I wouldn't have known that drink and I ordered a pinot gricio and could I have one as I wanted to get back to my friends. She said she'd get me one if I apologised. I said I had nothing to apologise for and to get me the drink or a refund. She went on about asking for a white zinfandel so I asked to see the manager, she said she was the manager. I asked her to talk with me in a quiet place but she refused. The music was tremendously loud and I was struggling to hear and be heard. I told her I wouldn't move until I got a refund or a white wine and she asked again for an apology. A customer next to me tried to mediate and my friend came back over. Then another lady stepped behind the bar. My friend told her what I'd asked for and the issue of the cocky miss asking for an apology. She turned out to be the manager and said to get me what I'd asked for. I've never in my 66 years of life being treated in such a rude and disgusting manner. I was worn out and in tears by the end. Never again! I'll be reporting...
Read moreAfter visiting Sunday for a drink with my GF, I have to say I won't be back anytime soon after receiving some of the worst service I've ever experienced. I asked the girl behind the bar if they had a particular drink to which i received a blank emotionless 'No', so I quickly ordered something else, I then asked for a glass of wine to which she replied in an ignorant blunt and emotionless tone..'medium or large', both instances made me and my gf uncomfortable and awkward...after ordering, the barmaid sorted our drinks, which seemed like a massive effort for her considering the place was practically empty inside anyway, she just stuck the card machine on the bar and walked off to get the wine from the fridge. I paid for the drinks, as she came back she grabbed the card machine and stuck the wine on the bar and walked off...no thank yous or anything, the most ignorant service I've ever experienced. I suggest you train your staff in customer service and teach them how to deal with customers, if they don't like dealing with people then maybe they shouldn't be in a job where they..you...
