Jubilee Square is a vibrant, well-designed public space in Leicester that brings together modern landscaping, open areas, and a mix of events to create a lively community hub. Located near some of the city’s key attractions, like the Leicester Cathedral and King Richard III Visitor Centre, it’s an ideal spot for both locals and visitors to relax and soak up the atmosphere of the city. Here’s what makes it worth a visit: The square’s design is clean and modern, with plenty of open space, seating areas, and greenery that adds a refreshing break from the surrounding cityscape. There’s a nice blend of paved walkways and grass areas where you can sit and relax, making it a popular spot on sunny days. The sculptures and modern fixtures give it a unique look, and it’s especially pretty when lit up at night. Jubilee Square often hosts events throughout the year, from food festivals and open-air cinemas to seasonal fairs and live performances, creating a lively and inclusive environment. During these events, the square really comes to life, and it’s an exciting spot to be if you enjoy community gatherings. There are also pop-up markets, which add a nice variety and make it a great place to explore local crafts and food. One of the best things about Jubilee Square is its central location. It’s within walking distance of Leicester’s main shopping areas, cultural sites, and dining options, making it a perfect stop when exploring the city. If you’re looking to grab a coffee or a snack, there are plenty of nearby cafes and restaurants to choose from. Jubilee Square is a welcoming, versatile space that truly captures Leicester’s community spirit. Whether you’re stopping by to relax, meet friends, or enjoy one of the many events, it’s a refreshing, lively part of the city that’s well worth a visit.

A Festive Delight for Couples! We visited the Jubilee Square Ice Skating rink in Leicester during the Christmas season and had a blast! The rink is beautifully decorated with twinkling lights and festive decorations, creating a magical atmosphere. As a couple, we really enjoyed the romantic ambiance and the opportunity to spend some quality time together on the ice. The rink is spacious enough to avoid crowds, and the music was festive and upbeat. We found the staff to be friendly and helpful, and they were always on hand to assist with anything we needed. The rental skates were clean and comfortable, and we didn't have any issues with them. Overall, we had a wonderful experience at the Jubilee Square Ice Skating rink. It's a great place to go for a fun and festive outing with your partner. We highly recommend it! Tips for couples: * Dress in layers, as it can get cold on the ice. * Don't forget to bring your own gloves and socks. * Book your tickets in advance, especially during peak season. * Most importantly, have fun and enjoy the experience!

Very festive square. Love the Farris wheel , turned out to be pretty pricey - £19 for 2 adults and a child fare - lasted around 15 minutes. The ice skating was also around £33 for the same as the above. Was meant to be 1 hour of ice skating, but they the time you get your skates (after queuing) and get onto the ice, you are then ushered off after around 35 mins on the ice, to queue and return your skates once again. The DJ was fantastic in the ice rink. TOP 90’s and early 2000 tunes all evening. Would’ve stayed longer just for those throwbacks - BUT songs had a lot of swearing which wasn’t suitable for the 5 year old we had with us really. The town can we rowdy around 8/9pm with pub and club goers queuing up too.

Only use it to throw a ball for my dog in the morning. Most morning I have had to pick up broken glassware from the pub, bottles and vapes. There is normally a large amounts of vomit all around the grass. Started using the space mid April. A few days after I started using the space the council cleaning team spent a half hour watching me throw the ball whilst talking to the owner of the wygston house pub. Mid May my dog got ill. I then stop going there for 2 day, when I return the area of grass where I and my dog play, has been chemical burned. The council needs to train it's staff how to use chemicals safely/correctly. I believe that the area should be alcohol free as there is a children's play area. Drinking isn't a great thing to encourage kids to do. Also I you use the childrens play area watch out for cars that drive up to the pub entrance as they have no consideration for pedestrians or the legality of driving on the pavement which is illegal in...
