June 2019: LLandudno Promenade is fantastic for strolling along. It is 2 miles long and has plenty for respite stops to have an ice-cream, coffee and people watch. It was connected to the national railway network in 1858, the town was to become a major ferry port to Ireland, but in 1859 a storm damaged the pier and development was moved to Holyhead. Development continued to turn Llandudno into a tourist resort, with the Marine Parade running around the base of the Great Orme. The pier is on the North Shore and is a Grade II listed building. The pier was extended in 1884 in a landward direction along the side of what was the Baths Hotel (where the Grand Hotel now stands) to provide a new entrance with the Llandudno Pier Pavilion Theatre, thus increasing the pier's length to 2,295 feet. It is the longest pier in Wales. Attractions on the pier include a bar, a cafe, amusement arcades, children's fairground rides and an assortment of shops & kiosks. There is also a Land train that goes from North Shore to West shore...

I Love this promenade always clean ,plenty seating a long it . holds lots events throughout year & of course the Prom wouldn't be the same with out good old Codman Punch & Judy. Leading from Promenade is Llandudno Pier ,improvements still going on, but slowly getting there ,Lots new shops opened up ,kids rides ,toilets ,plenty seats ,put by families of people who lived there or had many happy memories there , for you to sit and see what they loved so much, the views and feeling of so much love and happiness you get by being there just watching world go by , I have gone to Llandudno since a child well over 50 yrs ,seen lots of changes but it still has that Victorian feel to it , People of all ages go ,different cultures ,its a must if you haven't ,while their in August i heard people say they have never been before , how lovely it is, obviously if the sun shines like everywhere it looks better ,It my chill out place, get away work ,and remember my happy days & special...

We enjoyed Llandudno a lot more than we expected. The Pier, the Promenade, the seaviews. It's a pretty place to be.

The Promenade stretches along the beach from the Pier to the Paddling pool in the east. Almost 1.5 miles in length. Most visitors flock around the Pier area. The further east you walk, the less people you will see. And it's a real nice thing to do, walking the Promenade.

Even busy, the Pier is a good starting point. Grab some snacks, some ice cream and get on your way. There's countless benches along the Promenade - all with seaviews :) So it's a perfect spot to enjoy some snacks or a small picnic. The Promenade is very wide, so it doesn't feel crowded. Bikes, dog walkers...there's space for everybody.

There is a carpark near the pier, but always full. Some spots along the Promenade, but they're hard to find. We parked just a block away from the Promenade at the Venue Cymru carpark and were really happy with it. Plenty of...

A beautiful and historic promenade boasting a crescent of period hotels complemented by the modern Venue Cymru. The pathway is incredibly wide, with ample space for pedestrians and cyclists. Access for wheelchairs is provided in the form of regularly spaced ramped paths from the adjacent lower level road and parking. .There are hu dreds of benches and seats facing the sea and well maintained flora and fauna along the way. During the summer and on a Sunday and Monday evening, you can enjoy performances from the Llandudno Town Brass Band. They play a diverse selection of modern and classic pieces, and the bandmaster is just as entertaining in-between numbers. Deck chairs are provided in front of the open bandstand too. The panoramic views of the bay take in both the Little and Great Orme, and on a sunny day, you could feel like you are anywhere in the world!
