There is a well-kept patch of lawn, with well stocked flower beds and benches where weary shoppers can rest. An oasis of calm in the retail jungle! Occasionally a very accomplished classical guitarist may be heard, playing restful music whilst seated on one of the benches, and during the annual "Victorian Extravaganza" in May, this whole area is filled with acts including a children's entertainer and a George Formby tribute banjo band.
