We love the lido. We travel around 40 minutes to get to it but it's worth it. You can book up to a week in advance which is so helpful. It's £2 for adults and free for under 16s. There's splash pool/ toddler pool, the main pool(with a swimming lane) and an activity pool. Usually the activity pool is closed during school hours and open after school and on weekends. There are changing cubicles in the original style of the lido, plus indoor toilets (with hairdryers!). There are plenty of sun loungers too, but these do go quickly during peak times so get there early!!

Before or after your swim make sure you head to the park area. It's hands down the best park I've ever been too. It's massive and there's loads of different activities the kids can do, slides, swings, climbing frame, a wooden train, a sand pit, zip line and more.

The main downside and the only negative for us is the price of the cafe items. Bottled water was £1.40. I had a jacket potato with beans and it cost me a whopping £5.85. of I wanted a second topping it was £1 extra. The kids meals are £4.95 for small chips and two small sausage. Unfortunately we had to buy food as I didn't have food in the house for a picnic. There were no sandwiches and barely any vegan options. I asked for a veggie sausage to be told that I couldn't have one because that's the breakfast menu... I was so shocked at the prices and lack of options. Picnic lunch is definitely recommended. Or pop in to Gregg's on the way back to the cast park... This mama couldn't wait that long haha.

All in all we absolutely love the restored lido and look forward to our next visit. (With a...

My wife suffered terrible verbal abuse here today from a group of women ganging up on her because she wouldn't move away from a table they wanted, they moved our possetions ant tried to take the table, when my wife asked to sit back there they threw abuse and were very threatening, as we were were getting changed to leave my wife was leaving the table and again suffered more vile language.. so my wife asked for help from the staff, one of the women ran across the lido, shouting and swearing abuse infront of young children, the staff let my wife into the office to get away from the women and one then came and got me, we left shortly afterwards, the staff there were great but just had a call from the Manager saying there is nothing he can do, the 3 women were allowed to stay after casing the disturbance infront of children. Beware of this place, abuse and intimidation is ok, management will do nothing to stop it and tolerate it for locals, keep your family safe and stay away. The only way we can warn people now is by letting as many people know of our terrible experience as management don't care. This was my first and last visit here, what a bad...

This is a great facility, but you do need to book a week in advance. Turning up on the day without tickets (unless it's thrashing down with rain) will result in almost certain disappointment. They sell 70% of tickets online 7 days in advance, which is no good for computer illiterate people, or elderly and disabled people who may not have access. The remaining 30% of tickets are sold on the day, but tend to sell out by 10am - if you're working, you may have difficulty getting your hands on those. The water is kept reasonably clean and warm and there are plentiful sunbeds and changing rooms. The adjoining cafe has a poor and limited menu, and is grossly overpriced in light of the demographic of the local area - my husband and I are, frankly, amazed that it is still operational . As a result, most people take their own food and beverages with them. There is also a large play park next door to the lido that is fantastic for young children to expend those excess...

The only lido/outdoor pool in Wales! Park nearby at Gas Road car park (£1 for 2 hours) as no parking at the pool itself. Great value at only £3 per adult for a 1 hour session. Changing and lockers (£1 refundable) available either poolside (traditional cubicles) or indoor (modern, clean). Hot showers (poolside or indoor). There are 3 pools onsite (25m lanes, smaller leisure, and beach-style), all heated to 28°. Pool and facilities are clean. We went during term time, so public sessions are limited and very popular. Bit of a holiday vibe, with classic pop blaring throughout the session and 'hi-de-hi' tannoy announcements. Cafe and exhibition not open when we visited, which was slightly disappointing. Nevertheless, well worth a visit.
