Went here for the first time yesterday. I cannot praise the place enough. Absolutely brilliant. Opens at 9:30, you can either buy just a play ticket, or they have various play and meal deals you can pay for. They have a good menu with a wide choice for children and adults. The main bit is a massive soft play area, with slides, tunnels, rope bridges and everything else you expect but on a bigger scale. They have a separate section for under 2's with a ball pool, disco ball, and squidgy blocks. There is a section for 2 to 4 year olds, and a section with a town on the floor and trucks to drive on it. There is a room in one side where a lady does a different craft each day the child can join in with my little one came home with a sunflower seed in a little pot he helped make. There are tables with puzzles and blocks, and a mini sofa with dolls. The facilities are excellent, plenty of seating and toilets with baby change and steps/mini toilets for the little kids. Go for yourself and see!

*UPDATED Dec 2021 We returned here for our Grandsons birthday party and was impressed by the improved hygiene standards, refreshed play ares, Christmas decorations and super freindly staff who helped with the food and party celebrations, Well done and thank you. You could order food and drink and it is delivered to your table, toilet in the gents was blocked at the time of our visit. First visit with the grandkids and daughter, small venue but the kids loved the soft play, coffee and snacks served. Not the cleanest play cafe I've been to and not too busy in term time, visited again with grandson for a birthday party in November, feels much cleaner, able to cope with a party of 20 plus kids, food was OK, coffee was good.

We visited play cafe for the first time during half term . The play is on the main road so parking can be a bit hectic but there is a carpark near by. Once we were inside we found it was a really great place. There is a section for older kids and younger kids. The toddler area is separate so they don’t get overwhelmed by the big kids. Our girls loved it they both enjoyed playing in the baby area. The play centre has good cafe with a wide range of food. The staff are incredible and very friendly, one of our girls got attached to a ball and the kind staff let her take it, very greatful for that thank you 😊 Overall well worth a visit wonderful place

I took my 7 month old for the first time and it was the first time going in a few years since taking my little sister. They have moved the baby area to a separate room which was good due to it being more private and separate from the older toddlers which is safer in my opinion. Although I was not happy with the cleanliness of the room at all. I was on time for the session which was the last one of the day 2.30 on a Thursday afternoon. The room was messy which is fine but it was also dirty filth all in the ball pit and on the floors. This meant they hadn’t tidied or even cleaned the area all day or at least since the last session as there was no one else using this area in the whole last session. The high chairs that were put away fresh for the new session (not yet been used in this session) were all also dirty and when I wiped one for baby to use dust was coming up on the wipe. When I went to change my baby close to the end of the session I noticed a bad rash all over my babies body so I will now have to book a doctors appointment if it doesn’t disappear I put this down to the cleanliness personally. I also asked for some cutlery for my 7 month old and was given an adult metal knife and fork. I asked for plastic cutlery and they said they didn’t have any even though it’s a place specifically for babies and toddlers! Not a big deal but They also don’t have any healthy food options really. Won’t be going again such a shame but don’t want to risk when they don’t clean in between sessions or even properly at the...

Came with my five year old and 10 month old and another adult. Was surprised at the cost for under 1s as that isn't usual at home but happily paid. On arrival found there was no play area for the under 1s. The usual area is closed. This was not written on the website and the charges for a ticket were not reduced. I requested a refund for the under 1 ticket. I was told I would have to leave if I had a refund. I was surprised and explained I had also paid for an older child and wanted them to use the facilities and I would simply hold my baby. The two ladies at the counter understood and went to check with the manager twice who refused. I told them I wasn't happy and they said the baby was taking a spot that someone else could be using so the only way for a refund was to leave. I was very unimpressed. They suggested I used the area for 2-4 year olds but this wasn't safe in my opinion, especially as this is not a staff supervised place so reliant on parents to stop older kids going into the younger designated areas, which was not happening. The manager never made an appearance to speak with me which I thought was very unprofessional. Overall we chose stay because we had travelled specifically to come and my older child was having fun. The facilities for older kids seemed good. There are cafe options but I refused to spend any more money because of the situation...

Kids seem to love it . food available including childrens meals. Lack of staff supervision when bigger kids come in and are boisterous. Very very cold therefore uncomfortable for parents to sit for a couple of hours. Too cold for tiny babies and toddlers. No hand towels in toilets and air drier not working. Toy machine inappropriately sited right next to play entrance- takes £1.00 and toy comes out very fast and straight under play platform! Lost. Try explaining that to a distressed child with autism. So another £ 1.00 is required to prevent further meltdown. By the way , have you tried to open one of these toys? I had to use a knife to break outer casing. How do kids manage? There must be something more user friendly.I have been taking my 4 grandchildren to the playcafe on and off for several years now and am extremely disappointed that nothing has been done to heat the place- it was just ad cold last year. There are other play centres in the area which are appropriately heated and i think the owner will be losing customers to those. People will come once but...
