There are so many things to do and experience on GY beach/ Seafront. It brings thousands of tourists each year and you see why:
The beach is golden sand and runs along the whole Great Yarmouth coastline. Along the route there are many attractions, cafes, shops, places of historic interest and amusements. A whole day could be spent here if you were to do a lot of things.
There is a cinema, which has recently been refurbished inside (see pics and other review). There is the Marina Centre (indoor pool/ gym and cafe) also has been recently refurbished.
There is an array of amusements/arcades/ indoor crazy golf (see pics)/ lazer tag/ bingo/ bowling among other things.
There is an array of attractions: Sealife Centre/ the big wheel (see pic)/ the empire (see pic) - historical building and an indoor food court/ the Circus (a building of historical importance and a working circus)/ donkey rides on the beach(see pics)/ horse drawn carrages/ the theatre (which attracts large comedy names: Jimmy Carr and Sarah Millican for two)/ outdoor bowling green/ the Banksy on top of one of the bus stops (see pic) - opposite a victorian water tower/ Nelsons Columb and many many more places.
There are plenty of places to eat: KFC/ fish and chip restaurants/ cafes (both with beach views and without) etc.
There are plenty of hotels and B&Bs to stay in.
If you were to walk down Regent Road (shops and gift shops) you would come out to the main shopping high street, where there are a few shops and cafes. If you go on further than that there are more things to do and visit in town - museums/ pubs/ more places of historic interest.
The seafront/ beach is easily accessible via car or bus. There are plenty of places to park (but in the summer months is is chargeable along the seafront, if you are more local to the area or don't mind exploring and walking there is plenty of free parking spots also available). There are signs if walking leading you to most places. It's not easy to get lost as most places are either visible or easy to find. The only thing I have mentioned that isn't 'easy' to find would be the Banksy, but the water tower looms large so just find that.
There is so much to...

Read moreAh, Great Yarmouth Beach – the crown jewel of the British seaside, where the sand stretches on longer than your aunt Margaret’s holiday stories and there’s more entertainment than you can shake a stick of rock at!
First off, the beach itself is a stunner – so vast and golden it could double as a desert (just with more seagulls and fewer camels). Whether you’re building a sandcastle empire or just accidentally exfoliating your feet with a barefoot dash to the sea, this place delivers.
Then there are the rides and amusements – rollercoasters that make you question your lunch choices and arcades where you’ll happily spend £10 to win a 50p plush toy (it’s the principle, really). If that’s not enough, you’ve got Sea Life to make you go “ooooh,” live music to make you groove, and food stalls serving everything from sugary doughnuts to fish so fresh it probably had weekend plans.
Bonus points for spotting someone trying to eat a 99 Flake while fighting off a ninja-level seagull. Classic.
In short, whether you’re 9, 90, or just here for the Instagram, Great Yarmouth Beach is proper British seaside brilliance. Pack a windbreaker, bring your sense of humour, and prepare for sandy socks and...
