Nickys Cafe Diner — Restaurant in Great Yarmouth

Second time I ordered “vegan” food from this place and was given meat. The first time I got really sick because I wasn’t aware. I wish people were more careful especially because this is reoccurring.

Called and the place was closed... didn’t realise because I bought for later. The last time I called and made them aware I was just told “I should’ve called earlier and they could’ve given a refund.” Will probably be told the same thing tomorrow.

Please please PLEASE, read the tickets and be more careful. Some people cannot eat meat for spiritual reasons or it even can make them very ill.

I ordered “vegan” lasagna and “vegan” chilli... meat all in the food and I can’t even eat what I ordered for today. At least this time I was aware and didn’t eat it before hand... I had to check because it has already happened to me before.

I understand it’s been a hard year but just taking the few seconds to make sure could spare someone compromising their beliefs or health.

Today I was sent the correct order. The vegan lasagna and chilli is very tasty and the veggie burger is a proper plant based patty opposed to breaded veg.

If you’re plant based, always put a note for the delivery driver to make sure there is no meat. There is a system issue on all delivery apps that doesn’t show if you selected the vegan option.

I made the mistake of thinking that was only for the delivery driver but it can help save a miscommunication and...

Me and my partner have been to nickys diner a few times now and always had a nice enjoyable meal. But today we were disappointed. As we walked in there was mushed up chips on the floor which I skidded on and is obviously a hazard which should have been sorted with so many staff there. When my partner went to the counter to order our meals she mentioned this to the assistant and she said she would get it sorted. It wasnt cleaned up all the time we were in there which I think was bad. We both ordered cottage pie with veg and gravy. When it came the cottage pies both had hardly any mince in them at all and potato with peas and carrot mixed in. The veg on the plate were also carrots and peas which seems rather silly having the same veg.. No way we're the meals worth £11.50 each for so little meat and nearly all potato. First time we've visited here..and we will definitely be going back. I can only talk about breakfast ( 1 big boy + 1 medium for my wife)...but wow best breakfast we've had for years. Place was very clean and well presented.all staff were friendly chatty and created a nice atmosphere. However its the food quality that stands out. Black pudding was double thickness of what you normally get. Bacon top quality. Best crispy hash browns I've ever eaten, and I don't usually like or eat hash browns. Sausages deserve special mention, butchers special sausages unlike many other cafes that spoil a breakfast by using cheap anaemic tastless cash and carry sausages ( there really should be a star rating on sausages, these would be a 5). Coffees were good as was toast (thick toast) ..We couldn't fault it, but I know everyone has their own opinion, but it's definitely...
