We visited Christopher’s on Friday 1St July around 10:30am, and on arrival it’s was noticeably very busy and the queue was about 20 plus deep at the counter & consistent for the whole time we were there .
We managed to get good seating for five of us,as their is plenty of seating availability inside & out .
Very quickly we noticed the lady behind the counter serving us was alone, taking orders , making the drinks (teas, coffee etc) but also running out servicing the tables , taking the food out to the tables and on the way back in cleaning tables too .
She was doing 3 peoples work bless her . I tell you no lie she had her work cut out for her and all through the wait in the queue aprox 20 mins as she was flying around backwards and forwards to and from the kitchen , and cleaning tables , serving , she was still smiling and so polite to people .
I asked for her name whilst serving us, she said her name was Carol , I think she might of thought I was going to moan as she kept apologising for the wait but totally the oppersit. Her service was 5 plus stars for a mature lady of her age tearing around in a professional manner doing all that work of 3 people by herself . The breakfast was really good too . A proper traditional English breakfast good value for money . We went back today (Saturday 2nd ) I was so happy to see Carol had help today and yet again 5 star ⭐️ service . Carol you handled Friday really well and your made the visit so perfect and welcoming for me and my family . I’m not sure if your the owner of this business or not , but if not your hard work needs to be noticed .
We are the owners of a near by pub in Nelson road (The Albion pub) but live in London so we come over for a couple of days to see how our pub was doing .
One thing for sure when we are back in Yarmouth we will be coming back to your lovely Cafe .
Well done...
Read moreStopped here for a quick bite with my partner thought it looked authentic from the outside and inside at first glance how ever when we walked in everyone turned their heads and stared like it was a “local place for local people” when we ordered no one asked me for allergies I have quite a few luckily not too severe. The waitress that we ordered with was very rude she asked us where we were sitting. We hadn’t been seated at a table so I suggested any empty table will do just fine, I then pointed at a table and the waitress said in a very rude way “you can’t sit there can you not see it’s already taken” I told her that we would sit outside and asked if the food could be brought out to us. When we went to sit outside the tables where a mess non of them had been cleared understandably it was quite busy how ever why continue to serve people if you don’t have the capacity to seat them? We were sat outside for quite a wile thinking they may have forgotten about us so I went back inside to ask how long the food would be I asked a different waitress and she shrugged her shoulders at me and walked away. The food was actually quite nice I have no complaints about that but overall the experience that we had wasn’t great at all staff where rude and atmosphere was bad 2/10 and that’s just...
Read moreOrdered a latte, while out breakfast was cooked. 1 bitter latte later & 26 minutes our food arrived even though there was only a table of 4 waiting before us. If they reckon their Cumberland sausages then Cumberland must have moved, they were horrible tasting fatty things. The rest of the food was mediocre to say the least, but the bottom of the egg would be good for catching fish in (net). This establishment is not fit to regard itself as a good restaurant / eateri. I will never come back here for anything & I advise others to avoid it as well, go somewhere else, it couldn't be any worse. As we left other people asked us how long the food had taken as they had been waiting longer...
