I had been a long time omnipass holder, but after two serious incidents in the space of a week, one involving a couple being really sexually inappropriate in a screening, and another where people sat shouting the whole way through, which the staff did absolutely nothing to help, I will not give them another penny.
The management both locally and in their main office are the most dismissive people I've ever encountered in customer service, and consistently try to fob you off.
We went out for staff to help on one occasion only to find the place completely empty, and when we complained were told the manager could only be spoken to in the queue. We went through two weeks of patchy contact, ignorance and rudeness from staff, only to be offered a refund for the upcharge £4.50 for two films and to cancel our omnipass. I eventually got in touch with the owner, who was the rudest of the lot. All I asked for was a refund of our last month's omnipass fee.
This company will take your money and run, and I would encourage anyone to find a local cinema and avoid this crowd like the plague.
I would encourage omniplex to look into how they deal with customers, and I would encourage their owner to take a good hard look at himself and remember it's the punters keep cinemas alive, I will not touch...
Read moreI took out the £9.99 per month deal. You can watch as many films as you want. I even watch 2 movies one after the other, on the same day. If the film is over before 9pm then you get upto 3 hrs free parking in the multi story carpark. You take your parking ticket to the reception where they sell the popcorn and they will pay the fee for you. If you watch more than one movie then after the first one is finished, get your parking ticket paid, leave the carpark and go around the roundabout, then re enter the same carpark and even park in the same place and collect a frresh parking ticket, for another free 3 hours parking. Your £9.99 pass allows you access to any omiplex cinema in Northern Ireland. They also do passes for the republic but they cost €15 per month. The cinema itself is a all arnchair, recliner seats, but the Toilets are showing a bit of wear and tear. They have one screen for 3D movies and 1 imax type screen but i dont like the corridor that runs down the middle of these. I prefer the smaller screens where the corridors at at the sides and i can sit in the middle. You can only watch each movie once but if a movie is in 3D, 2D & imax then you can watch all 3...
Read moreI went to see Rocketman on the first night of its release, 22nd May. Was shown in screen 4, we could hear as much racket from the screen next door as we could from the guy who was clearly stone drunk when he came in before the film started. He was in the wrong seat, obnoxious, loud, very loud, sung or snored his way through the film. No staff available to rectify the situation. Afterwards I complained about the sound from screen next door to supervisor who suggested I mention it on social media as it’s an on going issue. I explained I was complaining to her and between that and the nuisance in the cinema who should never have been allowed in I wanted my money back. She asked for my details and would pass this serious complaint to the manager the next day and he would be in touch that day. I gave my email address and phone number. That’s over a month ago. Manager clearly didn’t think it was serious issue as couldn’t be bothered contacting me. So if you MUST see a film in this theatre make sure it’s not in screen 4 or you’ll get soundtrack from...
