I'd like to start by saying I work in the customer service and hospitality industry, and I know how hard it can be. However, my aunt had booked this venue THREE WEEKS in advance for her 40th birthday. Seating was at 7pm for 25 people. We had the happy hour all you can eat. First off, the starter platters came out AN HOUR after everyone was seated, and were small and lacked a good variety of items. There were only 5 small platters for 25+ people. many members of our party only had 2 items each off of the platters. After the small starter platters, we were given a menu and told to order main courses? Unaware we had to order a main, there was a lot of confusion and the lady serving us, manager or owner? Was getting frustrated and demanding that we order our mains, even though we repeatedly told her the entire party was not present to order at that time. After a long discussion to find out what was going on, we decided to just follow along and order our mains. We were then told it would be 45mins to an hour for the food. By this point the restraunt was already packed full of people, and they were still taking walk ins even though they clearly couldn't handle the sheer volume of orders. After finding out there would be a long wait, we opted to just pay for the starters and leave. When we asked for the bill, we were told it would be £6.00 PER PERSON!! So we would have been paying (in my case) £6.00 for a small 3" BBQ rib, half an onion ring, and a small amount of sea weed. DISCUSTING!! You could buy a full meal for that else where!!
Overall, the Experience was an absolute joke. Like I said, I work in this industry and I know it can be hard, but when you are clearly understaffed and over your head it is clearly time to stop taking Walkins and focus on what customers you already have. It seemed to me like they were more concerned with taking as many customers as possible, rather than giving their current customers good service.
Wouldn't even give them a single star. Would make it a point to disswaid people from dining here for special occasions. Service was a joke and...
Read moreWe had a meal here on Saturday 23rd March 2024, we looked at the menue in the window, we went in and sat down they brought over some prawn crakers and gave use the menue, we eat the crakers while reading the menu and found the menue was much more expensive than the one on the window when we asked the staff about this they said the menue in the windows was for takeaway,
We orders our meals both arrived together but my wifes rice was like stodge stuck together and lumpy, she asked the waitress to change it about 10 minutes later she came back saying kitchen had given her another rice but it was exactly the same would she like something else so she ordered noodles which she didn't want but she needed to eat something with her meal,
by the time she did get her noodles her meal was cold, and tasteless the food was bland and the service was tenable.
When it came time to pay the waitress made a big song and dance about the fact she was not charging use for the rice (that was sent back twice) and that she was not also going to charging us for the noodles (big deal) but still charged us full price for the overly expensive meals that was cold and tasteless by the time we could eat them.
Stay away werst Chinese restaurant I have ever been too would not...
Read moreJust terrible sadly, sat in and was given prawn crackers in a dirty bowl (there was old tacky sauce smeared all along the bottom) I made the waitress aware and she just took it away, didn't replace it even though she said she would get us a new one. We had the morecambe prawns, absolutely miniscule bland portion with this bit of fried noodle that tasted like Styrofoam.
We had salt and pepper chips that had that much salt on them that we could barely eat them, when I let the waitress know she asked if I had got the salt and pepper chips. She had been the only one serving us so I think she was being ironic when I said yes and she went "well yeah they do tend to have a lot of salt in it". I have had salt and pepper chips from plenty of places, I'm not stupid enough to know they shouldn't be inedible.
The sweet and sour prawns was nothing to put to memory just very typical, could have literally come from a jar. Would never ever go again, I politely said it was really not great food at all and she just didn't care. There was hardly anyone else in, should have seen that...
