The Brasserie Greek Restaurant — Restaurant in Lancaster

This place has a great atmosphere and fantastic customer service. No goady "Greek" decor or cheesy Greek stereotypes. The staff could not be more helpful and everyone was very pleasant and polite. Where they stand out though is the food! I love Greek food (though I'm biased because that is what I grew up on!) and finding restaurants that offer proper Greek dishes done exactly as in Greece can be a bit of an issue. Fear not though because this little gem has it all. Greek taste and genuine Greek dishes from the tzatziki and meat to the pitta bread and the Greek oven potatoes. For lovers of actual Greek food, the tastes are all there and whoever is in the kitchen knows what they're doing, so you can go there knowing you will get what is expected of a Greek restaurant. For anyone who wants to try and taste proper Greek cuisine for the first time, this is where you should go in order to get something you could get in any taverna in Greece, whether mainland or...

I don't like to give five stars as I believe there's always room for improvement but I was very tempted to hit the full five here.

My Wife and I are having a three day break in Morecambe having never been before. We live in Blackpool so I'm not entirely sure why not. An article in the Blackpool Gazette got my attention and we booked on impulse and a few days later here we are.

Anyway, I digress, this restaurant was excellent, the atmosphere was very relaxing with great background music. The food was delicious; we had the vegetarian banquet and tried our best but couldn't finish. Lazarus and his fellow staff looked after us and were very welcoming and polite.

We intend on coming back later in the summer so will be sure to come again.

We were lucky enough to book a table at this charming family owned restaurant situated just metres from Morecambe seafront. What a fabulous choice of venue for a birthday meal, a great selection of starters, mains and desserts and wines to suit every palate. A very relaxed atmosphere run by local owners who genuinely care about their customers. The food was to die for, all freshly homemade to family Greek recipes. My only complaint is that we haven't been to this restaurant before, we're making up for that though and have already booked again for next month with friends.
