I genuinely love B&M and shop in this store almost daily. However, I had an extremely unpleasant experience yesterday that left me in tears.
While discussing a query about my return policy with the sales assistant/manager Fatima, she spoke to me in a very unprofessional and dismissive manner. When I mentioned I couldn’t find the information in the return policy, she told me: “not all information are in return policy, YOU NEED TO USE YOUR COMMON SENSE.” Obviously I got upset when someone allows to speak to me like this and asked if I can speak to a manager because you have been very rude to me now and I just want someone else to help me. She replies: “I am the only manager here, thank you for your feedback and good luck.”
I was shocked and hurt by her unprofessional behavior, as it’s not what I’ve come to expect from B&M. I went to security (lovely man) and ask him if there is any manager I can speak to. He called another gentleman (I regret I didn't ask his name). He listened to me, understood where I am coming from and helped me with no issues . He was very polite and absolute credit to your company. B&M you should provide a proper training to your employees before they go...

she started by shouting at me to put small trolley back - I hadn't even paid for my items and had every intention of doing - I said there's no £ in it - she said doesn't matter - then a lovely lady Indian appearance/dress behind me asked her when you've finished with this lady can you check the price of this item? I didnt mind in slightest but woman behind counter shouted 'im dealing with this customer' very abruptly as I walked away she took item from woman checked price and slammed it on counter - the customer asked why she d done that again she shouted 'I've done nothing wrong' the customer was visibly upset- security went over but the assistant was still shouting.. when the lady left the store I asked if she was OK said the assistant was rude ' she said 'I work on customer services at Sainsburys and would never treat a customer like that' as have I and I agreed. If that's their idea of how you treat the public they can keep it doubt I ll go...

Paid SECOND time (13.12.24) to this store, specifically to check if store manager Hermes did manage to do properly his job and remove outdated food products. Sadly he did ignore my first observation and polite note about outdated confectionery, but left even more on the show, dating back to September (3 months out of expiry date). I collected a full basket for store manager of food samples with expired date and handed specifically to him. Arrogant manager with drink can in his hands, his “professional” reply was OK. I am a customer and concerned about mine and other people wellbeing, so to be poisoned by lack of professionalism and responsibilities from manager Hermes is appalling and scary.
Be aware of food products what you purchase!! Loads and loads of specially confectionery are out of date, dating few months back. Pictures were taken on 10.12.24. Didn’t have to spend more time in store, would love to do proper quality check as they seems...
