I inherited a duvet thing that needed a wash but too big for the washing machine at home. I looked up Google Reviews and glad I did as my nearest one, as I suspected, was rubbish yet this Coin Op was only a further five mins away.
A rough and ready but functional Coin Op the man was genuinely happy to be there and happily gave change for the machine.
There are 7 smaller machines at £4 (as of 14/10/20) (1 reserved for the staff for service wash) and two larger ones at £8 a wash which my double duvet blanket thing fit in to.
The machines were all in good order and the driers are on the more modern style (I am so used to seeing yellow ones that only take 20p pieces) they had a proper countdown display which helps! They also dried well as the thing I was drying took £3.40 where I knew the older machines I have used in the past struggle to dry normal clothes for that much.

Read moreFirst time using that launderette - and the experience was quite pleasant. Perfect for tourists. The washing cycle (for one full plastic grocery bag) is £5 and it takes ~25 mins. Don't worry if you don't have your own detergent - for £1 you'll be provided with enough for one cycle of pre-wash and wash. Don't forget that washing machines could only accept £1 coins (but again, if you don't have it - other coins or bills only - the operator will help you). Drying is £1 for 8 mins. Nice, fast and...

I went around 17:30 and it was plenty of empty machines available. 4 pounds for a 16kg washing machine, 8 for a 30kg one (this one only accepts 2 pounds coins), and wide dryer machines at 20 pence for every two minutes (I needed 2 pounds to leave my clothes dry enough). They also sell the soap in a vending machine at one pound per cartridge. It also has a few kinda'sofas to...
