My experience with this spa has been nothing but terrible. The first time I went I chose an Indian head massage, the woman placed hot stones on my back without warning which shocked me and made me uncomfortable. The overall massage wasn’t relaxing at all as the shock of the hot stones gave me anxiety so I was constantly wondering what the woman would do next instead of relaxing during the massage. The oils they used on my head left my hair clumpy and knotted. I keep receiving texts with special price offers so I thought I’d give this spa another chance and go for a back massage, I booked online, however I never received a confirmation email so I called to double check if my appointment was confirmed and the woman on the phone told me everything is fine and my appointment is in their diary. I went to the spa for my appointment time only to be told they never received my booking and don’t have time for me. The woman at the desk was rather rude with her tone when talking to me as we had a confusion with dates when rebooking an appointment for me. I decided to book for a week later, a few days leading up to my appointment I receive and email saying they CANCELLED my appointment for no reason... terrible customer service. I will be taking my business to the lovely spa on Turnham Green :)
IN RESPONSE TO YOUR COMMENT: I sent you a screen shot with the cancellation you sent me so how am I as a customer supposed to assume that my booking is confirmed after I receive a cancellation email? Also the complimentary upgrade was a discount of £10 for an extra 15 mins LOL could I have a refund for the money it cost me to travel to your spa for...
Read moreI have a mixed feeling about this place. I usually go to another place in Chiswick where is aways welcoming, helpful and always consistent. I was desperate for a massage and I walked in to the himalayan massage. There were available so I took 30 min. While being massaged I thought I will have 1hour instead if they were of course available. They were indeed so I stayed longer. She was amazing, smiling, helpful and I was happy. I thought I will definatrly come back. I assumed i will pay the difference for full body. She charged me another 50, so £100 instead of 75 for body massage. I was put off by this a little but I was in pain and got a great massage. I booked another one and this time I got a different experience. She was cold as ice, her vibe completely off, I was scared to say where I was feeling the tentions in my body. I was cold and dismissed me, she kept the air blowing. At the end she gave me water while paying and not tea as offered previously, and didnt left me the time to drink it and went to open the door for me to leave. It was horrible, I felt they were nice to me as first time client. This left me feeling like I was an inconvenience. Never again, I will stick with my...

The spa contacted me after my review to offer me a complimentary massage as part of their service guarantee. It was absolutely brilliant. Thank you KG.
Original Review
A completely disappointing and unprofessional spa experience.
I have recently moved to the area and so I wanted to find a local spa that I could go to frequently. I decided to give Himalayan Spa & Massage Centre a try.
I was completely disappointed.
My masseuse, Paula, felt it appropriate to ask me unprofessional, intrusive, and personal questions such as “Why are you wearing all black?”, “Are you Christian?”, “What is your job?”
I told her that I’m not happy to answer these questions, plus I’m here for a relaxing experience, not to have a conversation!
Before my session started I asked if instead of a 1.5 hr Thai massage that I had booked, she could do half Thai and half Swedish (they are the same price). She agreed but only spent 5mins on the Thai, the rest was Swedish. The massage itself was...
