Horseferry Playground — Attraction in London

Much improved in recent years! Set out specifically for under 8yr olds. Wooden walkway with a gradual slope that snakes around, water features, boat, slide, swings, climbing apparatus, sandpit, living willow den, tyre swing thing, snakey brick pathways, musical square, horses etc. All in dappled shade. Also, nearby toilets unfortunately with a 20p fee and a kiosk for hot drinks. A real asset to this part of London. Hugely popular with the locals and tourists alike. I used to bring my daughter here when she was wee. Now she brings her wee one here! Just down the steps from Lambeth Bridge. In close proximity to The Buxton Memorial, Houses of Parliament, Parliament Square, Jewel Tower, Westminster Abbey, St John's Smith Square, St James's Park, White Hall, Tate Britain, Victoria, Lambeth Palace, Archbishop's Park, Garden Museum, Old Paradise Gardens, and Vauxhall City Farm. Lovely little park, so much to do for younger children which is getting rare in parks today as they can be mostly aimed at older children. Really set out well & pretty, kept clean and tidy.....just a shame about some of the people you get in there tho, watch your personal items, someone snatched my little girls bag as soon as our back was turned, what goes around comes...
