Previously been to this place when it was firecracker and was great food. Wanted to go back and found under new management. Booked a table for 14 people 2/3 weeks in advance for lunch menu. A colleague went the day before booking to confirm, only to be told they required a deposit and after going back and forth realised they put us down for karaoke. Booking eventually got resolved. On the day arrived with no one else in restaurant and only 1 member of staff on the floor. Everyone but one person ordered bento boxes and Coke. A few more tables of 2-3 people were filling up but still not maxed out or super busy. Drinks arrived 20 minutes after ordering and food arrived over an hour after ordering. When food arrived 3 people had to wait an additional 15/20 minutes for their food. As part of bento box deal miso soup was an item however we did not receive this. When questioned at the end, staff said she would get it for us we said it was too late, she started to explain we could warm in microwave. We said again too late and would expect a discount for not having an item of food. She went on to say she won't charge service charge but we said we wouldn't be paying service charge anyways as customer service was awful. She went on to question us stating she's the only one there and it was the kitchen who messed up. This wasn't our problem. She came to take payment and when we said we will pay individually she told us we couldn't as they only take max 3 payments per table. We told her this was never explained and we are paying individually. We were then told one person had to pay, we said no we are paying individually. She stormed off huffing and saying "oh my god". We had to queue up by the bar to pay and she said she could only take £1 of each cost, we said ok but she still tried to charge everyone the full price and we had to keep telling her to include discount.
To make matters worse the food wasn't as good as when it was firecracker.
The one member of staff running the show was so rude and disorganised.
Definitely won't be...

Ma-eum is a Korean restaurant situated in the heart of Westminster, London. Intrigued by the rise of raw marinated crab on my TikTok fyp.. IFYFY & they have this here on the chef special menu so obviously I had to try it out. The experience of savouring the soy marinated raw crab and prawns for the first time was nothing short of delightful. The tender and succulent raw meat, infused with a subtle salty flavour, was exactly as I had imagined it would be.

🌟= Approved, get THAT👏
What I ordered: 🍲Seafood hotpot £40 🦀Soy Marinated Crab £17.50🌟 🦐Soy Marinated Prawn £16.80🌟 🍗Fried Korean Chicken (Halal) £15🌟 Half Garlic Mayo & Honey Mustard 🦐Grilled prawns
The seafood hotpot was a true feast for the senses, brimming with an abundance of ingredients, including succulent cod cheek meat, fresh blue crab, plump prawns, tender green shell mussels, and delicate squid, soybean sprouts and mixed vegetables. We added ramen noodles for extra: £3.50, which elevated the overall taste and texture of the hotpot. It was a generous portion size. As for the Korean fried chicken, I must say that they were my absolute favourite dishes. The crispy and juicy chicken pieces were delicious, and the garlic mayo sauce complemented the flavours beautifully. While the honey mustard flavour wasn't quite to my taste.
Overall: a nice korean restaurant to go to if you’re in the area, though the prices were a bit high esp for the raw marinated shellfish - is this normal? 🌟Overall: 5/10 📍Location: 44 Horseferry Rd, London SW1P 2AH Pr invite #londonfoodie #koreanfood #koreanrestaurant #koreanfoodlondon #asianfoodlondon #asianfood #friedchicken #koreanfriedchicken #marinatedcrab #marinatedprawns #londonrestaurant #londonhiddengems #londoneats #londoninfluencer #londonfoodblog #koreanfriedchicken London Raw Marinated Crab, London Korean Food, Korean raw marinated crab london...
Read moreToday I would like to recommend a Korean restaurant, Ma Eum, located in Pimlico, very close to Westminster Abbey and Big Ben! Their house has to take a small staircase to reach the basement. Originally thought it would be a small restaurant, but the basement has a very clear and bright view, and the environment is very good! It's a great environment to have dinner with friends~
We ordered their signature army hot pot, it is really delicious! There are all kinds of ingredients inside~ham sausage, luncheon meat, shiitake mushrooms, bean sprouts, kimchi, soybeans and instant noodles. Although there are instant noodles, but the taste is absolutely amazing, you can make a few more bowls of rice!
Their signature sauce crab and spicy crab are marinated raw. Once you bite into the crab, the crab shell and meat are soft! It can be sucked directly into the stomach ~ it has a special fragrance! I can't stop taking one bite at a time
I also ordered stir-fried mixed vegetables sweet potato vermicelli, bean sprouts, fungus and green peppers are fried together, it is delicious! Fried chicken is also very good! We ordered a pair of fried chicken. We thought it was chicken wings, but it turned out to be chicken nuggets, which would be even better You don’t have to spit out the bones~ One taste is honey mustard, and the other is Korean sweet and spicy Yes, all very good!
Finally, I also ordered a seafood cake as a staple food. The Korean seafood cake has never disappointed and is super delicious! This store is very good, I recommend it to everyone ~...
