This is perhaps the best (Italian) restaurant I’ve been to so far and I’ve been to a fair bit of Italian restaurants. Have recently completed my Italy tour from the South (Naples, Sorrento, Amalfi Coast) to the North (Venice, Lake Como) and have ate pastas at top rated restaurants. You see, for some reason I felt like the Italians don’t really like strong flavour and hence I’d always sneakily add salt and pepper to my pasta. There are some that taste really good but they’re incredibly expensive and not filling. The pasta I’d at Sapori hits the perfect combination of affordable, tasty, authentic and generous portions.
I was taken aback by the hot chocolate that came. It’s the biggest cup of beverage (besides beer) I’ve ever been served. And it was 3£. Consistency, sweetness and warmness of the hot chocolate was perfect.
This is the biggest plate of pasta I’ve ever gotten from a restaurant. I was, once again, surprised that tagliatelle pesto with prawns came w chilli. yes, CHILLI. i couldn’t believe my eyes. The british didn’t conquer half the world in vain.
Maybe because I’m not used to the “authentic” Italian cuisine and prefer the British’s heavier flavoured and bigger main portions, but you can’t take away the fact that this is one hella of a solid meal.
Staff was attentive and friendly, serving with smiles. Time taken for dishes to come was also quick. What’s there...
Read moreWhen it comes to eating out there are three important parts I havent eaten in there so I'll keep my review to what I know.. the food the staff the restaurant The food is delicious! I've tried most of the wraps and a couple of the sandwiches. My colleague had pasta today and loved it. My boss recommends eating In because the menu is even better! I can't speak on the subject because I am yet to eat in. It is always busy around lunch and its very fairly priced. Pretty much everything is around £5 the wraps (roast dinner burrito style) is fantastic and big enough to eat twice. The staff never seem cranky no matter how much of a rush they are having which adds a friendly atmosphere to this already great atmosphere. I highly recommend eating here but due to its busy nature I also recommend getting it to go if you are coming around lunch.

Read moreA friend told us to try this place, and it didn't disappoint. An old-fashioned cafe which is a regular stop for cab drivers.
There were seats available, we were given a menu, and then our order was taken. We both wanted full English breakfasts, without beans, and were given the option to substitute for something else. I took an extra sausage.
The breakfast included a hot drink and thick buttered toast, with the only extra being orange juice.
A pleasant surprise was the quality of the ingredients, it is very tempting for restaurants to provide cheaper ingredients to save money, but everything supplied was very good, the bacon, eggs and mushrooms all working well and with the sausages particularly worth a mention.
All-in-all a little glimpse into a traditional world which is disappearing. The recommendation we received was well deserved and at £11 a breakfast it provided good value compared with most of the places we...
