Me & my partner have been going to this branch for 3 years now as its near where we live. We go sometimes 3 times a week so know the staff & the food very well. My partner is a gold member also. On our last two visits we have had to "Back" the food as it was just sub standard! The lasagne was cold in the middle & when it was sent back to the chef he basically said we were wrong, it wasn't cold as his temperature gauge said it was the right temperature, my partner requested him & the manager to taste it but they refused! The waiting staff who we know told us they have had this complaint numerous time before & the chef just gets angry & refuses to correct it! Also the pizza we received was lacking toppings in a big way, we know the normal standard as we are regulars so "Backed" this also & was told by the chef that this was the standard recipe & if we wanted extra toppings we would have to pay for it! We were then told by the staff the reason for this was they had limited stock of ingredients due to lack of deliveries! If the place is open for business it should have adequate stock! Read moreWe went to this Pizza Express after queueing for hours to get a band to pay our respects to The Queen.
They were extremely busy and we started to queue outside. A member of management came out and explained that they had been rushed off their feet and had to allow staff to have breaks, so they stopped any new entries for 45 minutes. We could use the toilet and they supplied some water to drink.
I must say that the staff did an awesome job and when we went in and sat down the service was top notch, this despite all the problems they had.
The ladies toilet was out of action so you had to queue to use the gents. As far as I saw nobody minded and everyone seemed very happy.
The food was delicious and served promptly. The service was excellent.

Read moreI ordered through deliveroo on the 31st of May and unlike other times on this occasion it caused me a violent heartburn(indigestion) and mild symptoms to my friend. I had to throw all 3 pizzas after only consuming a couple of slices as they were literally soaked in oil and ended up taking over the counter medicine to ease the symptoms, I then reported it through deliveroo who asked me to share my email address so that it can be passed on to the restaurant and they would contact me directly to resolve the matter. I told them that i do not wish to take this any further but for the feedback to be passed on to the restaurant so this doesn't happen and that i would like a refund as the meal was not edible. Until now I haven't received any email from the restaurant or a refund through deliveroo.
