We had the misfortune of meeting Lee in store today, who, after my daughter picked up a bottle from the shelf to ask if we could purchase this particular perfume, very loudly exclaimed to everyone in the store ‘those bottles are stock and we ask people not to touch them AND we ask people to sanitise their hands before touching any items.’ Felt this was a very unnecessary tone to take and the volume was uncalled for, It was like I was a child being told off! This also happened to the 2 customers who entered after us. Firstly, if you have specific requests for patrons then please make sure they are made clear when people enter either by posters or staff who have a much better grasp of customer service than Lee. It seems ridiculous for someone to literally shout at customers ‘we ask people not to touch items and sanitise their hands’ when this has not been made clear as people enter. You have not asked anyone Lee!!! Secondly, I am aware that it is a busy time of year but if you cannot handle the pressure of retail then it is not the right career choice for you. Lee did appear to be struggling with multi tasking as while talking to customers he was looking around at other people in the store. However this really isn’t an excuse for the tone taken and the general demeanour of (I assume) a senior leader in store. Normally the service is impeccable in the Bromley store and the lady who was wrapping was doing a fantastic job and unfortunately I did not get her name. Sadly my wife loves jo malone so I have no choice but to purchase items from them, otherwise I would not be a future customer again after this experience. I will from now on be making my purchases from...
Read moreI was meeting friends in Bromley to see a show and had time to spare and noticed there was a Jo Malone store in the shopping mall. It’s only within the past couple of years that I’ve been introduced to the brand via Christmas and birthday gifts however I have seen branches at a couple of airports and stations over the years, normally I wear Michel Kors or Marc Jacobs. I was met by a welcoming young lady Imogen and she really took the time to go through the various scents/notes (although it didn’t seem that long, a credit to her expertise!) Asking what I had had before/what I liked and providing testers swiftly whittling down to the favourites and subsequently bagged my purchase. I’m grateful for the assistance because I had originally gone in to just pick up a box set of 4/5 mini scents to sample but luckily I didn’t after my time with Imogen because there were 2 scents in it that just weren’t for me very heavy notes in my opinion, it would have been a waste to purchase given the price. I will definitely take the time to travel from Central London to Bromley just to pick up more of the same/explore new similar scents in the...
Read moreWe booked the Scent Your Wedding Experience at this store following a disappointing experience at the Regent St store in London. Our consultation was taken by Drew who was a bubbly, engaging, friendly and knowledgeable customer advisor. Throughout the whole experience, she made us feel special and at ease. We weren’t too familiar with the different Jo Malone fragrances, however she was brilliant at explaining the different scents and ingredients and how they might layer together. Due to her excellent customer service, we made purchases and are really looking forward to wearing them on our wedding day in July. We will definitely be back to perhaps buy a candle on our anniversary and this was due to her amazing customer service. There was also another member of staff in the store who was really engaging, friendly and helpful too. This was the really positive and special experience that we wanted it to be (which was missing massively from the Regent St store). Highly recommend these wonderful ladies and this...
