Despite vowing never to set foot in this establishment again after the last episode (below) we decided to give the place a second chance. We had been contacted by the company which showed they do have an interest in what the customer thinks (not all do). The service this time was not only swift but exemplary, with warmer plates, not hot, but, good enough. Even a lady who appeared to be more senior was checking to see if every thing was ok. So 5 stars from me, it's always worth giving someone a second chance.
So first time I've ever set foot in here and probably the only time. Mid morning 11.20 for coffee and late breakfast. Had some lovely looking sausage rolls so we ordered 2 and two lattes with flavours. The sausage rolls were then microwaved making them soft and greasy. Only 1 latte had the correct flavour what should have been hazelnut was vanilla. Sausage rolls to one side we ordered a garden breakfast and eggs benedict. My wife's garden breakfast was completely cold almost as if it had come out of the fridge and missed the cooker. My eggs benedict was just warm enough. My wife's garden breakfast went back much to the staff's annoyance. Very poor attention to detail and not cheap...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAnytime Iām in Bromley this is the first place I look for. Food is fresh and presented beautifully. I go for the chicken, cheese, salad panini. Went in ordered with the guy I saw first. He say ādonāt worry I make nice for youā. I wanted to wait while he made it because I wanted it to be done correctly. He say āno darling go and pay because food will get cold if queue gets longā. I asked for no bacon or tomato. Paid, sat down drinking my cappuccino, panini comes and theres bacon in it. Went back to the counter, he put food straight In the bin. What a waste of food, I absolutely hate to see food wasted. While he was making me another one, I was watching him at the counter while looking back at the table where I left my cappuccino and the waitress was wiping my table and moving my tray. I had to leave the counter, go back to the table to tell the waitress that Iām not finished yet. Kinda felt rushed, but this would not have happened if he got my order right in the first place. Now my cappuccino went cold on me. Was a bit disappointed. To think where I came from, to travel to Bromley to enjoy cafe Giardino. I was not impressed as how I...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreVisited Giardino in Bromley for the first time today. Only saw the left hand side area on exiting the lift. Asked the man behind the counter whether he served hot food to which he said yes. Then I asked should I sit too which he said no I have to pay first. He also told me that I would need to go back outside to the front to look at the menu. I found it strange having been to several restaurants where the norm is that you are seated and given a menu before ordering and certainly before paying!! I ordered a panini each for me and my son because we informed that the pasta dishes were finished and I made the payment. When I went to sit down I noticed that their was another section and he was walking over to with a copy of the receipt in his hand. I still didn't catch on. When I finished eating I walked over there only to find out that there was a whole range of dishes there. I was tricked by this man who only wanted to make a sale. I shared this with another worker on the right hand side that I discovered and he patiently listened then apologised. If I go back to Giardino it would only be...
