If you consider yourself a "foodie" to any degree, or just enjoy eating beautifully and perfectly prepard dishes, then you need to get over to Kobe Jones as soon as possible.
Lovely wife and I stumbled into this place quite by accident. They unfortunately are not "allowed" to advertise on social media or in the mall apparently. More to the point for my addition to these reviews that are singing the praises of this lovely little place.
The staff were all smiles and friendly efficiency. We really enjoyed Dillon and Hannah's attention to detail and general presence. We had the experience that they were genuinely glad to have us there. So much more enjoyable than some sullen folk we've met in the industry.
But the food. Aah the food. After 20 years in the industry. I've eaten or tried just about everything.... Is a philosophy I hold dear. I'm incorrect of course... :) Michael surprised me. I'm 53.
Everything was simply perfect. I don't say this lightly. When a chef reaches this level of mastery and attention to detail. When you eat the dishes so carefully and perfectly prepared, that they taste exactly as your memory of the them serves, and that memory is met and exceeded, to that point where you can't bring yourself to go back to the place you tried it before... That, in my mind is where Kobe Jones is at. Perfection.
I would love to talk about his puddings, but to be honest, I could not do them justice. I'm still processing.
In conclusion. Please take yourselves and the people you know and care about, who love eating REALLY excellently made and perfectly presented food along to this little gem of a restaurant. Sit, be present, enjoy, and be moved... You won't be dissapointed.
PS: We didn't take any pics, because I like to eat my food and not photograph it. PPS: Lovely wife would like to add this: If you choose to support a local...

We ordered from the A la carte menu and made an absolute feast out of it.
The Crispy Pork & prawn Siu mai - out of this world! Came piping hot and just everything and more.
The Wagyu Bavette cut with black garlic BBQ - amazing, of course we went with the chef's recommendation of having the beef medium rare. Literally melted in the mouth.
The Sweet corn with soya & Tokyo butter - would have ordered 2 portions but our stomachs were bursting.
Ordered a few more items but these particular items were unforgettable.
We'd been to Hakkasan a few months back and were due to go back for my birthday dinner. However, after thoroughly enjoying ourselves today we'll definitely be coming back here instead.
The staff were attentive and gave great recommendations that we didn't regret.
Hats off to all chefs that prepared our meals.
One thing I will say - When the bill came, the total didn't include the breakdown of tax, vat or service charge. Just the subtotal and total, so when the lady presented the card machine it gave an option to add a tip; which I naturally did until I realised that part of bill must have included it. I think for that reason, the bill needs to be more transparent.
Was pleasantly surprised at this restaurant after wanting to get a quick bite to eat. Thank God we...
Read moreThere are some real positives about this restaurant, and some comments/suggestions. Let's start with the positives. The menu included lots of choice plus there is a special lunch deal on certain days. The food was totally tasty! Between us we tried the edamame beans with the sesame smoked salt, a selection of dim sum, spinach and kale salad, chicken yakitori skewers, katsu curry, vegetable bi-bim-bap rice bowl and two sirloin steaks. We shared a bottle of white wine. Everything was scrumptious. The rice was a real hit! The big disappointment was the steaks. For the price of £32.50 each we were expecting practically half a cow. Instead these very small steaks turned up. And that price does not include any sides, it's just for the steak. So, £65 for two very moderately sized steaks, definitely will not be ordering those again. Another negative was the fact that neither of the two staff wore masks at any time during our visit. Also, they were the only two people serving and, seeing as it was quite busy, the service took a really long time. This also meant that we received our dishes at different times and therefore couldn't all eat together. So, in conclusion, delicious food, nice place with big tables and lots of space, but no Covid safety and a final bill over...
