All the animals were extremely malnourished and mistreated. The lion cubs are locked in a tiny cage for hours a day without food or water, you can clearly see how drugged they were as they were very drowsy and sleepy, instead of giving them a break from being held the staff were extremely aggressive towards them and would grab them by the neck and stomach, some were even woken up when they were sleeping to be held . The monkeys are very vicious as the cages were not properly secured resulting in two kids one being my daughter being grabbed by the hair by them, you are allowed to pay for food for the monkeys and you could see how hungry they were. The adult lions were all dropped sleeping and there was a cows dead body in there cage, I get that’s what lions eat but it was just wasting away in there enclosure. The dogs were given dirty water with leaves and bugs in to drink and a little cardboard box for 3 of them to sleep in. The bears were visibly skinny and you could see there bones they were also very hungry and were eating any type of vegetables we gave them even out of the dirty water. None of the enclosures were clean or big enough for any of the animals. This place needs to be shut down or thoroughly checked and changed . I get you want to hold the lion cubs but they are babies and are made to endure this cruel treatment all for one picture which you have to...

The attention to detail in the decor is something else – it's not just about seeing the lions, but also about feeling immersed in their natural habitat.
Watching the lions felt so up close and personal. We got to see them from various angles, which was brilliant, especially for the kids who couldn't get enough. There's this one spot where it feels like there's nothing but a glass pane between you and the lions. It's thrilling and a bit surreal!
What really stood out was how the exhibit tells a story, not just about the lions, but also about conservation efforts. There are loads of informative signs and interactive elements that make it super engaging for all ages. It's educational without being boring, which is a win when you're trying to keep kids interested.
Also, major props to the staff there. Everyone we spoke to was really friendly and knew their stuff. They answered all our curious questions and shared fascinating facts about the lions, which made the experience even...
Read moreLocated inside the London Zoo in Regents Park, Land of the Lions is an interactive experience. It takes right into Gujarat without even leaving London using incredible decoration, including an auto rickshaw, a fake ‘bicycle hire’, a sign which says ‘ Welcome to Gir National Park’, a temple and even a working Indian street food restaurant that serves interesting dishes including Paneer Burgers! Animals include dwarf mongooses in an outdoor exhibit and an indoor house designed like an office, flamingos living in a large lake,Indian peafowl living with Rupppell’s griffin vultures in a large aviary, Hanuman langurs living in a ‘construction site’ ( though it would have been nicer if they had a larger enclosure) and, of course, their four beautiful Asiatic lions living in a large enclosure with multiple viewing areas and heated rocks. It would have been nice if they had a house, but i guess the heated rocks kind of made up for it. No visit to the Zoo is complete without visiting Land of the Lions. Highly...
