Broad Walk Cafe — Restaurant in London

Nice location. Lots of places to sit, both under cover and in the open. Spent a nice Sunday morning here. However, despite what the enticing signs say about all day brunches being available with a nice picture of some eggs benedict on the sign outside and the photographs of various lovely meals you see on this Google maps link, all that actually was available at 10am was some chilled yogurts, some breakfast baps and a couple of choices of pastries. The baps came neatly presented in half a cardboard chip tray which was nice... Service was lacking by the three employees behind the counter and for a yogurt, a regent park breakfast bap (sausage bacon and egg) in a half cardboard tray, 2 croissants and 2 coffees, we had to hand over £29 which even for London prices is expensive. All in, you will find better. The cafe on the edge of the boating lake, ten minutes away, looked far nicer and we regretted not walking a little further when looking...

Awful awful awful. Customer service is just awful. The girl behind the cashing machine was so so rude. First while we were entering she put her hand to stopped us entering the place. Attitude at its best. No apology no explanation no nothing. My friend went to ask for some ice and a glass of water while getting also a drink . And when she asked for a glass of ice for her drink she was told she has to buy another drink to get a second glass of ice. Today is almost 30 degrees. There was another girl at the entrance very lovely and she saved the situation with her nice service.Bad management . And bad behaviour. You won't earn any money by acting like this. Place is a gem. The staff was courteous. The place is clean and ample of tables to sit at. A bit expensive but it's the city of London and still very cheap comparing to other European cities. It appears the staff here are foreigners and you have to bear in mind it's not the same culture as we here in England. So, we need to respect people culture. It's has air condition inside and much cooler than outside. It has a variety of yummy cakes. To use the toilet you need to buy something and on the receipt you will have a code to use the toilet.
