My time with Claudia (one lesson), Dave, Ananth and Kieran has been empowering and I am extremely grateful for each’s time and expertise.

My favourite aspect of these courses has been each tutor bringing their own techniques, teachings, opinions and flair to the table, which I feel gave an authentic feel to the lessons. It broadened my awareness of different genres and mixing styles and furthermore allowed me to pick the brains of Dave and Kieran in particular regarding questions, queries and ideas relating to hardware, software, work flow and industry related topics. Their insight was second to none and appreciated immensely. What I may mention is regarding recording my set in the final Intermediate lesson, I felt I may have not digested the importance of Quantize settings entirely when it came to using hot cues and acapellas as it derailed the set intended. However, this was a great learning curve which furthered my progress. Also, whilst learning with Kieran in Advanced, I was curious to learn more about 3 deck mixing, as well as have the opportunity to experience so. I raised the topic and got the impression that it wasn’t suited to my genre interests - however I still would have appreciated that experience first hand of focusing on more than two CDJs whilst the hardware was available.

The Ableton production group course with Ananth was a great insight towards and he opened a massive can of worms in a structured, digestible format and I really enjoyed the learnings from his classes (also the course note pdfs provided are fantastic in terms of retreading topics covered in my own time so that is amazing!). One thing that I feel I would have benefit from is the opportunity to share my progress as well as view others’ as well, instead of each tutor listening in private. I feel peer insight, discussion and support would be incredibly valuable if pushed more in terms of progress and learning curves. Furthermore, it would encourage more fruitful communication within the group, opposed to the group feeling like acquaintances. However, I understand there’s a lot of content that needs to be covered within this course as well!

Overall, I’ve had an incredibly positive experience here at LSA and feel so much more enabled in my creative ability as a result. The caliber of the tutors here are second to none and an incredible assets to the place. Also, having opportunities like the networking nights is fantastic in terms of being able to meet like-minded individuals and gaining more experience on club gear. However, I do feel like I have come out of the courses feeling like I’ve made some lovely acquaintances and had some wonderful conversations, but no solid relationships. This is a me thing, but I feel if the opportunity arose to be integrated within group DJ sessions, as well as more sharing encouraged within the Ableton course, I feel I may have felt more fulfilled regarding the social aspect of learning. However, the timeline of my progress didn’t line up with any group DJ sessions, and the flip-side of solo-learning is that I was able to focus more on my own creative ability - and so as one-on-ones go, it was immaculate.

It’s truly been a pleasure learning here! The staff have been so warm and welcoming, and have instilled so much confidence within myself. I feel very privileged to have spent time at LSA! Many, many props to all the tutors mentioned and the rest of the...

I've just finished my intermediate course at LSA and have had a brilliant time on the course so far.

The studio is in a good location, the equipment is first class and the setup is extremely professional!

I started the beginner course in March 2022 when my partner gifted me her two remaining lesson vouchers as she couldn't commit to them. I reached out to LSA where I spoke to Buster through email who said it was perfectly fine for me to top up these two lessons and pay the remaining balance.

Buster has always answered any questions that I've had since day one and he has checked in with me over email to see how I have been getting on with the course - his communication is always efficient, courteous and professional. Not to mention, the content that he writes for LSA is fantastic and very informative.

I'd also like to thank him for extending my intermediate course voucher beyond the initial expiry date, as I had to cancel a couple of sessions due to train strikes and work commitments.

Antonio always gives a warm greeting on reception when I arrive for each lesson and is also very friendly and professional whenever we have spoken through email/at the studio. On one occasion, where I mistakenly turned up to my lesson on the wrong day, he was fully understanding and did not make me feel awkward about it which I really appreciated.

My tutor Kieran has taught me so much through the beginner and intermediate courses, to a point where I feel so much more confident on the decks and I love to learn from him. He is a master at his craft, a great communicator and is very patient when we are in the booth together.

His passion for mixing and teaching others is helping to bring the best out of me when I am on the decks and I always come out of his lessons feeling energised and inspired. Each lesson is always fun and he doesn't mind going over certain sections of the course that I need a bit more support in! I love to learn about the technical elements of DJing and he is great at breaking things down for me and showcasing his technical ability to help me to gain more understanding.

I'd also like to thank Ben for covering one of our lessons who is also a great tutor - very patient and encouraging.

I would fully recommend LSA to anyone looking to become a DJ and/or Music producer. The studio has everything that you could possibly need, and is filled with a friendly and passionate team that will bring out the...

I want to give a big shout out to the team over at LSA Camden. I have the utmost love my tutors. I had the pleasure of working with almost all of them; Taylor, Paul, Ollie, Kieran and Jozie.

All of whom are fantastic in their own way. Different styles and approaches but all really friendly, informative and supportive. Pure vibes! I haven’t got a bad word to say about any of them. I spent the majority of my hours with Kieran and Ollie and they were super chilled and taught me some really cool techniques for some advanced mixing as well as the importance of keeping things simple whilst playing out. They were both so influential in helping me sharpen my skills in my favoured genre House, as well as helping me realise that I actually really enjoy Open Format and I now feel super confident mixing both, especially the latter having never tried it before. Jozie also helped me realise that I'm a natural at mixing House with Grime and Funky (having come from a background in Grime music, it just felt really fluid & effortless) that was a really fun session actually! She is super cool.

Also, worth noting that Buster the owner was always ready to help me via email and live chats and his responses are always super quick never left me waiting for an answer.

The workflow and structure of the lessons were great, they worked at the pace I was comfortable with. I went there only knowing how to use my DDJ-400 which I bought to practice at home, so having never touched a pair of CDJS before it was quite daunting at first, but I soon got the hang of it and before I know it, within a couple of months I had passed my Advanced Level and I also have a basic understanding of how to use Vinyl.

I was unsure of whether to start with beginner lessons as I considered myself to be slightly above that having practiced at home on and off for half a year, but I am glad I listened to Busters advice to start at beginner anyway because there was a lot of things I didn’t know from the course and naturally I had picked up a couple bad habits through self learning but what I liked as well is their honesty as they also didn’t waste my time on beginner for too long and fast tracked me into intermediate anyway, once they saw I was comfortable within the first couple lessons.

Will definitely be going back to LSA for my Elite Trophy at some point. Watch this space! For now I am going to enjoy getting some experience...

London Sound Academy helped me grow and learn as an artist and is full of amazing friendly people. I completed 3 courses (Intermediate and Advanced DJ, as well as Intermediate Production) and each course provided unique insight and support to allow me to channel my creativity in new ways with industry standard equipment. Alex helped me to learn my way around the Club Standard DJ equipment and taught me the important theory which started my DJ journey. Kieran was my tutor for the Advanced course and he was super knowledgeable and very approachable and down to earth. He taught me lots of advanced techniques as well as made sure I was comfortable with every aspect of professional DJing and the equipment. Finally, Paul was my tutor for the FL Studio Production course and he was also super friendly and easy to work with, we shared creative ideas and he taught me the ins and outs of the DAW (which was super helpful since I was migrating from Cubase). All three are highly recommended, and the facilities are second to none. A big thank you to everyone at LSA for supporting my journey so far!

I had an amazing experience at the London Sound Academy! The instructors (I worked with Sam, Marc and Olmo) are not only incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about music but also friendly and approachable. They create a warm and welcoming environment where all tutors became friends. They are always willing to go the extra mile to help and support their students. The courses are well-structured and cover a wide range of topics, catering to both beginners and advanced musicians. The hands-on approach and practical assignments helped me develop my skills quickly. The facilities are top-notch, with state-of-the-art equipment and recording studios. The staff is friendly, and the camaraderie among the tutors creates a positive and collaborative atmosphere. I highly recommend the London Sound Academy to anyone looking to pursue a career in music or simply enhance their musical abilities. It's the perfect place to ignite your musical journey! I recently completed a DJ course at the London Sound Academy, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. My instructors, Olmo, Ben, and Kieran, were exceptionally professional and attentive. Their guidance and expertise made all the difference in my learning journey. I started DJing as a new hobby, and booking the first course was definitely the best decision I made. It required a commitment and an upfront investment, but it was worth every penny. The structured lessons and hands-on practice sessions helped me build a solid foundation and grow my skills significantly. Additionally, the monthly networking events for DJs at the academy elevated the experience even further. These events provided valuable opportunities to connect with other aspiring DJs, share experiences, and learn from each other. Sometime in the near future I will continue my journey at London Sound Academy with the music production course! Thank you, Olmo, Ben, Kieran and Buster for making this experience so enriching and enjoyable!
